Need some ClickBank advice

Hi guys.. i need some advice from any of you with ClickBank product-owner experiance.

I have kept myself busy with affiliate/adsense the last few years but i want to try a new turn. My girlfriend is a very good writer and she is also very artistic, she has made some self-help ebooks in her past that simply blew my mind (about hot topics as weightloss etc).

I was thinking to make a website with a sale/thankyou page (the minimum requirement) in order to create a ClickBank Product Creator account and try to sell her ebooks trough it.

Now.. is ClickBank still a viable method? Any tips? Is this worth trying?

      Good Luck Bro ,
      Yes thanks for your reply.
What i ment was.. If i create a sale-website for a specific product with nice video and catchy words + a buy button that reffers to my ClickBank payment page. Will this work? I mean.. is it easy to find people on ClickBank who want to promote/traffic your product for you? I don't want to spend money on traffic or SEO or self-promotion.. i want others to do this for me as i can fully focus on a good website and my girlfriend can fully focus on creating new products (ebooks).

She should also consider writing 'self-help' books for Kindle. If she's good, she could soon build up a following.

Shortly, right here in the Warrior Book Club, Bryan is going to publish a report focusing on a lady (a WBC member) who has taken the lessons in the training section, combined a few of the strategies, and is pulling in around $5k per month from just 5 books.

With Kindle, the sky is, quite literally, the limit. Your girlfriend could do something similar.

Yes you can get affiliates but you have to bait the affiliates, I would suggest for a start you first do info products and give 80 - 90% commissions to affiliates. search on google for affiliate launches and post your affiliate jv page there. so you will need a jv page also. once thats done you can in future sell info products and upsell video products done by your wife for higher price. Hope that makes sense.

    Thank You

People want to promote products with a lot of gravity. This is a direction you will have to work towards.

At the beginning you will want to contact people who have websites in the weight loss niche. Offer them a review copy of your product and send them to your ClickBank listing. Having a high affiliate rate is going to attract more people to promote your product. Most product creators use the maimum 75%.

Also, since you will be offering such high affiliate rates, you will have to make money from somewhere else. Once someone makes a sale for you, capture the buyer's email. That way you can send a newsletter with more products. Another idea is to have upsells and one time offers.

Frankly speaking, it will be very hard for you to get to the top of the topics that you meant. It's hard to compete in those niches. There are products with several hundred gravity. As I said, personal contact is a must when you are first starting out.

    Okay, back this conversation up...

Is ClickBank viable? Um, yeah. CB is just a payment processor and sales-funnel-made-easy system. But attracting affiliates doesn't happen - just because you create a CB account. That's like thinking, "I'll just put this website up... and bam!... sales. Yeah right!.... right?

Now, gravity is based upon the amount of affiliates successful selling your product. And you're not gonna get ANY gravity - unless YOU (yup, YOU) drive traffic to your sales letter, VSL or hybrid... and PROVE your stuff converts. (Front AND backend... because most affiliates won't touch a campaign - without at least one... and preferably three upsets/OTO's.)

The front end should be self-liquidating. (In other words, the cost of acquisition breaks even.)

The backend (OTO's) is where the profit is.

    But again...

You have to gather enough data to prove your copy converts on cold traffic (Facebook, Google, etc.,) and generic lists. You also need a content funnel to make the initial acquisition.

Affiliates will hop on-board... as YOU pump up the gravity (by developing strategic relationships with people in your space who have lists and running cold traffic yourself.)

If your stuff converts (hopefully in a big way,) you'll get people paying their own money to sell for you. But not until then.

Wow thanks for the many replies.. the picture is clear now.
It basically comes to this.. affiliates wont sign up for your product until you have proven it sells on its own and the affiliates must get maximum cut off the deal. It sounds simple but my gut is telling me that CB aint that easy to break trough it. I have never dreamed to become rich off it... but we tought a nice income on the site would be nice. I am currently earning about 40-50$ off 2 adsense sites.. perhaps i should carry on with that and make more of them lol.

No need to quit one to do the other. You should diversify your income. I've seen people's income get wiped out through a Google whim on Adsense.

Clickbank will be great for what you are trying to achieve...Make sure it is a good quality product and the price is decent enough for affiliate to make a nice commission. I would say anything over $25 for the affiliate is ok...upsells are even better.

    Good Luck!

Clickbank still works great, they have a very large base of affiliates. In fact weight loss, muscle building are some of their top producing products.

You will attract affiliates but you have to get your gravity up to get the ball rolling. Create a different Clickbank account and promote your own product to get it started.

I would definitely go for it.

if you build it and do nothing more, your chances of success are pretty slim. you will need to put in some effort to proactively go after getting some affiliates that are in cross-sell type markets to whatever product you launch.

you will need to get their attention somehow. putting up a clickbank buy button isn't going to be enough. You might win the traffic / /affiliate lottery, but that is super unlikely.

that being said, if you create a high quality product and a high converting system with a high ROI and EPC then getting affiliates on board won't be hard.

The 2nd part is much more important that a high quality product actually. great marketing and a decent product will go much further than crappy / lazy marketing and a great product.

and i hope you take this as constructive criticism....it sorta seems like you are leaning in that direction of being a lazy marketer with an above average product. That is unlikely to work as you would hope.

This is very true. Still you should always strive to put out the best product you can, but this is where I have personally fallen down over the years. Created great products but didn't want to get out there with them and promote like crazy. Was afraid to spend money on traffic (*gasp* spend money?) Like anything, Clickbank requires energy and focus and it takes time to develop a following, but yes, it can be a wonderful venue for revenue generation if you have a solid team of affiliates signing up on board to promote your product too.

If that sounds like a lot of work, Kindle might be a better option, since people come to Amazon, and search topically for what they are interested in. A few excellent products there, serially connected, with good reviews, on evergreen topics of interest could generate excellent income as well.

      Good luck!
