Overloaded and don't really know where to start

As the title says, I have been in IM for about 3 years, but trust me i never toke action. actually i made a a review website about a specific product years ago and neglect it and stopped the whole IM. Right now i want to start again, but I'm over loaded with info and don't know where to start. Warriors I need a simple strategy that generate can generate me 30 to 50 a day with the less consuming time. I already know there is no fast cash here, actually there is, and it depends on many aspects. Anyway, for me only need 30 to 50 a day. Is that too much to ask? is it too hard to achieve? Any help is really appreciated.

    The first step is to find how you intend to monetize your website.
    Second step is finding a profitable market and building a converting site around it.
    Third step is promoting your website.

    It's just similar to starting a business in the brick and mortar world.

        Hey there... this statement cannot be true.

        -There will be people starting IM careers today that will be wildly profitable.

        -There will be young people just out of high school with bright ideas who will go on to make the next massively successful apps and facebook like paradigm shifting online juggernauts.

        How can you say a guy like you can't find a slot to make a couple of bucks?

        What market? You mean the "internet marketing"... "dating"... "weight loss"... etc market?

        Okay...

        1) What about the "how to stop walking bow-legged" market?

        2) What about the "how to pass the police exam" market?

        3) What about the "how to learn computer networking" market?

        4) What about the "how to raise pot-belly pigs" market?

        Do you see alot of affiliates crowded in these niches?

        You're limiting yourself already. For some reason i get the impression that your way of thinking was the cause of your past failures. Don't let your brain get in the way again.

    I would advice you to take up a free course online on design, programming or similar platforms and start selling your services in forums like this or at sites like Fiverr. You can easily start making money in a few weeks. But you need to work in the beginning - no magic buttons, I am afraid.

      I'm not interested in programming, i feel my senses and inclination is toward internet marketing, specifically affiliate marketing. Thanks for your advice its really appreciated.

    This is a very reasonable goal. If you think about it, we're talking either 1 sale a day or between 7 and 10 free joins. Given your 3 years of experience, I honestly don't think you'll have a problem. Like you say, you just need a plan.

    If you want my advice:

    1. Turn your review site into a viral content site (articles, images, videos).
    2. Grow social media platforms.
    3. Utilize traffic to generate income from affiliate offers on your site and to grow a newsletter list.

    There's no reason you can't accomplish that in around 30 days, given the required time. I wish you all the best with it!

    you need to find which method that works for you then focus on that track.
    while you have the money from it, invest it to build a list.

    make sure the method is made by qualified and recommended mentor, this will save you time.
    wforum is the best place to start. just if you got a shiny object syndrome, read one of my articles on my blog below to cure it. some people love it.

      Since your review website did not work out for you, try doing something totally different but still related to IM as that seems to be your passion.My suggestion for you is to focus only on list building. Give yourself at least 6 months to grow a decent sized list and then start monetizing it. If you have some money invest in a coaching program.You cannot fail in list building so long as you follow proper coaching and set a time frame to reach your goals to make a decent amount of money through email marketing.

    You even described your own problem, so what do you want to hear? You just need to take action! Reading the upcoming 20 answers you get in this thread will not help you, it will just increase your information overload even more.

    so take action. decide for a topic, create a website, register the domain, write articles, include pictures, set up webmastertools and analytics and put some affiliate products on your site and maybe adsense ads. now start promoting the page, track your google rankings, create social profiles, do do do. stop reading, start with step one and you will be motivated to move on to step 2. Stop reading all those "methods" on warriorforum, go out and start something, otherwise you will never learn.

    The only advice from me a guy who's been in IM for 7 years is to stay stupid, just like how Forrest Gump did it.

    Making money online isn't that hard at all. It's always the simple things we seem to complicate.

    Find a system that other people have been successful with.. stick to one plan of action until you really get good at it and keep going.

    The best way to beat overload is by not jumping from one method to the other. Have some self-discipline and really put your head down and stick to a method that you feel will work for you.

    Another great thing to do is find a mentor, someone that is already making money online and shadow them. You can find plenty of successful mentors on this exact warrior forum that won't cost you an arm and a leg, but will show you the ropes at the same time.

    I started trying to make money online seriously 2 years ago...

    I also bought system after system...

    I studied everything I could find and tried every product I could get my hands on.

    I worked 12 to 15 hours a day, 7 days a week, trying every “make money online” product out there. I lost over $16,500.00

    I built websites, wrote articles, run a blog, tried affiliate programs, built a (small) email list… but NOTHING worked.

    Until one day I found real online business

    It had all the elements I needed…
    This idea is not something new or revolutionary. What do Google, Bing, and FB sell? Traffic...
    Having a “Traffic” business is like having a gas station.

    Later I start to teach other to do the same....

    Don't complicate to much.

    What you need is a simple system and a workable daily schedule.

    Step 1: Product (create your own OR affiliate offer)

    Step 2: Build a list

    Step 3: Drive traffic


    Daily Schedule:

    Day 1 - Product research

    Day 2 - Start creating your product OR look for affiliate offer

    Day 3 - Create free content to give away (ebooks, videos, articles and so forth)

    Day 4 - Submit your contents to blog, youtube, forum and social media sites

    Day 5 - Improve your product, salespage or landing page

    Day 6 - Research your next product

    Day 7 - Set your short & long term goals.

        First of all take a second, slow down and take a deep breath. I can feel your stress, tension and hyper vibes through your post. Ironically, you said your problem is having information overload. So, the first thing everyone does in this thread is overload you with more information.

        When the first thing you need to do is pause, clear your head .... then make a firm "commitment" on what I call "The 3 Important What's" ....
        • What do I like? (if you don't know you better find out or develop one).
        • What direction do I want to go in?
        and
        • What do I have to offer now or willing to get training in.
        All three must balance and not conflict with each other. Until you get those 3 things right and "firmly committed to", none of the good advice you've received in this thread will work. If you Ignore them, then get ready to keep feeling overloaded.

        Self-Reflection helps give you direction. That should be priority #1.

  • Hey xmarketer, I know what you mean about feeling like you don't know where to start.

    I do personal coaching with lots of internet marketers who are in the same boat, so it's not just you. It's like people have the skills but just don't know how to apply them in the best way to make money in a reasonable amount of time. And every time you blink there's a new supposed best way to do it.

    I'm not looking to preach at all, but I will tell you that the pay-per-lead model has been pretty amazing for me and a lot of the folks I coach. Are you familiar with the basics? If you've got SEO skills, you're already halfway there - you basically just launch a new website in a profitable industry and then when you start getting real potential customers contacting you through the site, you sell those leads to local businesses.

    Many of them are already paying sky-high prices for PPC, so it's not like they're not ready to fork over big bucks for new leads.

    I also do client SEO, but this is so much more hands-off and has a much bigger potential for income. In trying to get deeper into the model, I started a PPL Facebook group that's become pretty big and super supportive to people who are just starting out - if you search "Passive & Massive" you'll find us, 1700+ members strong!

    You need a plan.. is it hard, well if it was simple... then everybody would be doing in!

    IM is a minefield!

    What do you want to do niche? Something you have a passion in? Affiliate? Blog? Then how you going to monetize? How are you going to get traffic? Etc.. etc.

    Depending on what you want to do... it requires effort, yes you can make passive income or a non passive income.

    You need a plan.. write it down and the idea that ticks most of the boxes in monetizing potential (don't dream), be realistic... go with that idea!

    Then once you get it off the ground... then look to optimize and fine tune and funnel more sales!

    Step 5: Establish an expert reputation for yourself
    People use the internet to find information.

    Provide that information for free to other sites, and you’ll see more traffic and better search engine rankings.

    The secret is to always include a link to your site with each tidbit of information.

    Give away free, expert content. Create articles, videos or any other content that people will find useful. Distribute that content through online article directories or social media sites.
    Include “send to a friend” links on valuable content on your website.
    Become an active expert in industry forums and social networking sites where your target market hangs out.
    You’ll reach new readers. But even better, every site that posts your content will link back to yours. Search engines love links from relevant sites and will reward you in the rankings.

    Step 6: Use the power of e-mail marketing to turn visitors into buyers.
    When you build an opt-in list, you’re creating one of the most valuable assets of your online business.

    Your customers and subscribers have given you permission to send them e-mail.

    That means:

    You’re giving them something they’ve asked for.
    You’re developing lifetime relationships with them.
    The response is 100 percent measurable.
    E-mail marketing is cheaper and more effective than print, TV or radio because it’s highly targeted.
    Anyone who visits your site and opts in to your list is a very hot lead.

    And there’s no better tool than e-mail for following up with those leads.

    Step 7: Increase your income through back-end sales and upselling
    One of the most important internet marketing strategies is to develop every customer’s lifetime value.

    At least 36 percent of people who have purchased from you once will buy from you again if you follow up with them.

    Closing that first sale is by far the most difficult part–not to mention the most expensive.

    So use back-end selling and upselling to get them to buy again:

    Offer products that complement their original purchase.
    Send out electronic loyalty coupons they can redeem on their next visit.
    Offer related products on your “Thank You” page after they purchase.
    Reward your customers for their loyalty and they’ll become even more loyal.

    The internet changes so fast that one year online equals about five years in the real world.

    But the principles of how to start and grow a successful online business haven’t changed at all.

    If you’re just starting a small business online, stick to this sequence.

    If you’ve been online awhile, do a quick review and see if there’s a step you’re neglecting, or never got around to doing in the first place.

    Curious to see where you are in your quest to decide how to move forward?

    You mention wanting to start with affiliate marketing and of course the fear here is that there are dominant affiliate players today in most niches that matter - so the elephant in the room (as they say) is not just all the tips you have been given around getting traffic, choosing products to sell, etc...

    Instead it is how to differentiate yourself in a way that lets you compete in markets where there are already many affiliates capturing attention.

    If you think about it, there are a few ways affiliates win markets:

    1. They win the SEO game - with this type of affiliate site they spend MOST of their time and effort ranking their pages and offering a well laid out, niche-focused website that ranking highly for their keyword (Ex Treadmills)

    2, They become the dominant list owner: Email marketing is the technique used by other top affiliates where they seek to dominate with content driven toward opt-in then dominate their market through powerful email marketing, content and sales funnels

    3. Social: Similar to winning mindshare through either SEO or Email Marketing, increasingly there are top affiliates who dominate their niche based on winning the social game - either through Youtube videos, Facebook pages, Pintrest or Instagram, etc... This is another approach you can use to steer around affiliate who may already dominate with SEO on traditional search

    Your role as a super affiliate is to find a way to reach your market and steer them to your pre-sell/sell page better than your competition using the various tools/sites available. You chase the market and capture their attention with one of the 3 methods above (there are others as well including paid ads)

    First focus on which market you are comfortable to work in. There are numerous markets and more niches in each one of those markets. Make sure that the market you are going to work in is a market where people spend money in. If not, then you have to have a working knowledge of other market which is a profitable one.

    Secondly, decide which business model suits to your online marketing skills and resources. Stick to the model you decide so and apply it on the niche you have chosen. Remember, getting results in IM is all about taking actions about what you know and testing and tweaking the things till you see the results.

    Its a good thing that you know that there are no fast results and you expect 30 to 50 a day. That's a realistic and achievable goal and you will make it once you have a proper strategy like above in place and you work relentlessly according to that strategy.

    Preferably, start with list building and affiliate marketing in your chosen niche. A list of subscribers is a business asset which you can monetize as per your goal keeping your authority in that niche. Just start taking actions however.

    I'm sorry to say this, but you won't succeed in Internet Marketing if you don't want to invest time to learn and implement. Also, it's very important to take action and implement all the things you learned. There's no better way to master Internet Marketing than the actual experience of doing the end to end process...
