What are the highest paying Affiliate Programs ?

I've made $200-$300 per lead, generating legal leads.

I would suspect that if you are talking IM niche that you could easily make $500 or more on the high cost programs.

That said, even if you make more per sale than I do, I bet I'll make more than you overall -- even though many of the products I sell are $50 or under with Amazon.com's 8.5% affiliate rate.

Just because it's just as easy to market a $500 product as it is a $50 doesn't mean it's just as easy to sell a $500 product. Coca-cola makes a lot more money selling $1 soft drinks than Dom Perignon does selling $200 bottles of champange and there's a reason for that...

I get the Coca Cola part, but there is a demand online for luxury niches as well.

Probably those Affiliate programs pay You more etc.

Anyway, thanks for the Links..

Beside that I am also interested in recurring affiliate programs.

And what niche converts best on YouTube traffic ?

  That's absolutely true, but the key is that it's the business model -- not how high paying the affiliate program is -- that is going to determine how much money you make overall. If you've got a business model and/or a customer list that is appropriate for selling luxury goods, by all means do so. But I think many people fall into the trap of thinking that higher per sale profit leads to higher profit overall -- that's just not true at all.
  
  As for recurring profits, I'll leave that to someone else to tackle. Not my expertise at all.

One great affiliate program is Afiliorama where you can make an average of 300$ per lead and it really draws people in as it is initially free.

I don't understand why people run after the highest paying affiliate programs. Instead, sign up for programs which also provides excellent service and support to its customers. If your reader / friend is happy with your suggestion, he might suggest your link, post or tweet to his friends. It's all about gaining trust. You may get lucky initially with some high paying programs, but it won't last. if you are planning to build a continuous stream of income then search for some quality ones that stand out. Don't adopt the herd mentality.

If you are promoting a particular product or service make sure you are using it as well. It's easier to connect with your target audience that way and you will have greater product knowledge and that would reflect in your reviews or even when you talk about them in public.

Take a look at Karatbars International. Some of their products cost just under $2000, so the commissions you will earn in turn, are substantial.

This, and of course, products that:

#1 Sell
#2 Don't get refunded
#3 Produce the highest EPC (earnings per click)

In the end it's gross minus costs. The highest paying won't necessarily create the biggest difference.

There is just one problem that you will face.

I got in the past 8% commission over products between 10$ and 100.000$, and it went good. Till a product price of a 1.000$ I got my commission, every month again. But it seems like they never sold anything over a 1.000$.
Then one friend of mine needed a cool set of alloys and a body kit for his car. All together 12.000$. So I gave him my referral link to buy it. He used the link to go to that website, and bought it. But not by ordering it online, but by calling them. Asking for more information and he tried to get a discount. I didn’t get any commission.
And then I start thinking. It makes sense, when I want to order something over 300-400$, I make a call, or write an email. I want to know more and can I get a discount.

So maybe people click on an affiliate link, but that link can’t track if it’s ordered by phone, email of just passing by the shop for real.
And I think that will be your biggest problem with high-end products.
