For me, and this is for any paid coach whether 50 or 5000, I want 1-on-1 time personalized coaching, tailored to my level abilities

I don't want to pay 5g to watch videos or be in a google hangout with 200 other people
    That's just me though

I would need to see a concrete gameplan. I wouldn't want anything just thrown together.

I would have to be fully satisfied that what the course was going to teach me, would make a significant improvement to my business or life.

If I was 100% certain of this then the investment wouldn't concern me.

No because I think it would be a total waste.

It's called Market Research. You'd do wise to learn how to do it yourself, instead of trolling threads with your negative nancy responses.

I'd have to say some rock solid traffic generation coaching, since that seems to be the biggest problem for most people. Picking a niche, building a website, and filling it with content is easy. Getting traffic is the hard part.

This would need to include include both free and paid methods and cover current SEO best practices. Best way to optimize on-page and off-page – manual backlinking, tiering, how to pick sites with high link juice, etc.

I'd also like to see Facebook Ads and Adwords covered – how to get cheap clicks, the best way to structure a high-converting advertisement, which keywords to go after and why, best way to split test, etc.

Basically, the whole shebang on advanced strategies and of course, guaranteed results.

P.S. - Learning the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique would be a nice bonus.

Plus a $2,000 Facebook Ads coupon right? Say yes, say yes

PS: Yeah. Most people who would buy a $5K are probably advanced guys already, so the content would have to be mega awesome.

PPS: I think OP would be better off selling ticket to an event in a cool location for $5k. Most people who would buy a $5K product, are already in a $2k - $5k product.

PPPS: But I don't know what plans they have & how they're funnel is converting, so I'll just shut up now.

Hmm, maybe a 2k FB ads coupon

I've heard of quite a few "noobs" buying into coaching programs around this price point. There are a lot of offline business people who have money and want to get into IM so they can quit their day jobs.

I would imagine if you're an advanced marketer, you would already be putting those strategies into action and having success. Unless of course, you really wanted a 2k Facebook coupon

Maybe FREE Tickets (value must be stated) to the LIVE Event can even be part of the sales pitch.

There is one common element that most people overlook in a
coaching fee--you are not just paying to be coached but to be
in a certain "elite" group. So, the networking opportunities.

Let's say Dan Kennedy has a $25,000 coaching program, do you
think that people are going to pay that much for extra information?
No, they are paying for access to Dan and his network of other
business owners with whom they can create joint ventures.

    Same holds for business seminars.

      How about this:

You and the coach create a new business together. You split the profits 50-50 until the coach has his $5,000 . . . then you're on your own.

Of course the majority of the coaches out there would never agree to such terms.

of course not....what would the students be bringing to the table?...their time...with relatively few if any skills?

most of us who are successful don't split profits with people when all we need is a few hours of someones time.

we hire an already knowledgeable and skilled employee or a contractor to complete those sorta tasks and just pay them for their time and keep all the profits.

although i have done what you suggest and made it work. the key is being pretty picky about who you choose to work with and flat out rejecting most people because i can see a mile away they are going to waste my time.

many people want coaches to do what you suggest, but they get all sorts of pissed off when a successful person looks them in the eye and says i just don't think you are worth investing my time in because i don't think you have what it takes to make me money on this deal and give me a positive ROI.

Because it isn't coaching then. It's partnership... and a bad partnership.

Ray has it right. once you get pat the 1k ish mark, the value of the information alone really can't warrant a steeper price.... usually.

you are paying to be in a club of sorts. To get access to people who would never hear your name any other way.. But if you pay the 5k, they suddenly talk to you and in many cases can hook you up with some deals you would have never been able to get on your own.

the same thing is happening on a much smaller and lower dollar scale around here with wso launches and solo ad businesses. the couching programs are really just a buy-in fee to get involved with the right network of people to make a product launch a success.

of course they offer some valuable info too, but generally, the info is available at a much lower price....the real value is in the access to the network.

    Re: $5,000 Coaching Program Requirements

During the coaching program there is a system being created for you or guiding you to make money as you are learning! So near the end of this you can see results starting to happen.

Other wise it will just be a lot of info and you will do nothing with it and then another shiny object comes your way and your gone....to the other...

I paid $4k for a business coach last year and, so far, they have been directly responsible for at least $12k in new business acquisitions - with more in the pipeline.

Don't knock coaching per se. Knock those who make poor assessments of value.

Something that facilitates the networking and masterminding with other members.
    Lifetime updates.
Excellent service (from billing to access to content...) and support via at least email.
    Of course lading edge material.

Perry Marshall and Rich Schefren are my favorite role models/examples.
