Why am I jaded early on ?

I have been involved in IM for about 6 months now and early on suffered from information overload. That has since calmed down but as I am going through putting things into real life application I am beginning to think to myself is this really possible?

There are so many WSOs out there and people selling a product I ask myself are there really people out there who like me, that wanted the freedom doing this full time with a good income?

I guess I am just starting to wonder if most of what I read is fluff just to make money off the product/wso? It seems like it could be? Are there people actually making $5k day doing this?

Sure, but that's not the question. The question is what have they done to reach that level of success, how long did it take and how much time did they spend sitting around doubting themselves?

You want success? Take action and don't give up until you achieve your goals or you might as well quit, now.

    Cheers. - Frank

$380k a year or so puts you in the top 1% of earners in the USA.... so worldwide, that amount would probably still be top 2-3 percent since the american system is by far the richest in the world.

thats about 1k per day to reach the top 1%. so no, not very many at all are making 5k / day.

That being said it does happen. but indeed, most of what you read was fluff and products designed to sell and not to really work. You made them money whether their advice makes you money or not.

how many wso sellers are making 5k day?.....that would be a very very small number thats a hell of a lot closer to 0 than it is to 25.

you can tell that from the stats provided via warrior+ and jvzoo.

What specifically stands out to you that you would want to do?

Sometimes in order to make progress it's as simple as just making a decision of what you're going to do, and just start doing it.

It's also important to set expectations, whether you want to do client work, affiliate stuff, adsense, etc. you need to realize yes there are people earning a very good income but that has nothing to do with you. Whether someone makes $100/day or $1,000 a day... that should mean nothing to you.

I agree on the point that others earnings have nothing to do with me I guess I just want to know if its possible to hit my short term goal of $500 month.

I know the only way to hit it is to do it but using a pro athlete as an example they played their sport early on because they saw their role models achieve similar success,if that makes sense.

You need to be unique, if you are in the group of people who try to build businesses yelling louder and more often, then you will have a tough time making any money at all.

A solid market, a following of people who look to you as an authority, and a decent product that not only helps people in the short run, but lends itself to additional products in teh same area.

Many people try to make it in teaching other people how to make money, the pool of people is virtually endless, with lots of that pool thinking they need to keep buying one product after another.

Online business is not really that difficult once you have a few fundamentals under your control. I would strongly suggest that you find another market rather than making money online, especially if you are not making any money online. Not that there isn't money to be made, there certainly is, but even the people with reputations are on a virtually endless launch and affiliate promo cycle.

Of course it is possible. Yo need to pick one method and stick to it. There are so many ways to make money online, it can get confusing.

Way back when I started I thought like you, we had much less info to go by so it was harder to learn.

Once you make your first sale you say, ok this is real, then when you make enough to cover your monthly bills you think, great, I can do this.

From there you learn and grow your systems, there really is no limit on what you can make online.

Start with small goals and work your way up, keep taking action.

I also agree with what HDRider is saying. It's so easy to get lost in all the information out there and get quite overwhelmed (I know many of us have been there). Choose one method to study, apply it and keep working.at it until it works for you. This will certainly put you in the top % of action takers who actually follow through and eventually succeed.

There are some people that are flat broke and don't know what they are doing but someone taught them to launch a hyped up WSO. You will see that in the various stats amongst other ways.

One thing to keep in mind is that many of the offers or promises are hyped up lies. For example, if an offer says that you can make $1263.22 an hour, what makes it impossible to make $1263.23 an hour? The claim is a lie - just pulled out of the air because some copywriting guru said that people want specifics.

Another "lie", even though it may be the truth depending on how it's worded, is to give the impression that the advertiser makes $333 an hour every hour of every day when they say they "make $333 an hour with hardly any work." In fact this may have been a one time event - one hour only or limited to 4 hours a month.

Having said that, yes there are those making money every day - even though it's impossible to prove outside an official audit.

But none of that, either way, matters to you. You've been doing this 6 months? How's your progress? Are you on track to reaching your goals? I hope that by saying you are involved in IM it's not in teaching people how to make money when you have doubts yourself - that's one of those "other ways" people can discover the truth about sellers.

What do you mean by IM?

(Yes, I know, you mean Internet Marketing, but that's just a name for a ton of different activities - all of which are to do with marketing on the internet.)

So yes, the internet is a good place to do your marketing.

Put it this way - would anyone ever say exactly what you just said, but use the word 'advertising' instead of 'IM'?

    Does Advertising work?
    Does Marketing work?
    Does PR work?
    etc?

Business people have to promote their products somehow, and the strategies of marketing, internet marketing, advertising and PR are what they use.

Do these strategies work? Yes, if they are used effectively.
Can YOU learn to make them work? That's the question.

You're probably aware of all the different methods and strategies out there by now.

It's time to pick one and stop hanging around the wso section of the forum. Whatever course you should decide to buy now (if any) are ones that are specifically talking about the method you've chosen.

The best thing is to get started and get really good at one thing... and to realize that it's going to take some time before it gets some traction and starts making money.

I think you should be very thankful and consider yourself successful even if you are making just $5,000 per month with IM.

Majority of actual businesses do not make 5 thousand a day in gross.

So I do not believe ANY person bothering to produce and market WSO's can consistently make that in a day. Launch day, sure, and lot more than 5k, but not consistently every single day. And keep in mind that after paying off all affiliates, traffic, and all kinds of other expenses like various freelancers, coders, designers, artists, you only get to keep relatively small portion of total amount.

There are folks who do all the work themselves but then that takes up lot of time, or products they make are garbage, take your pick.

Five thousand per month is far more realistic goal for most people. And most will never get to see that at all.

I like this thread - true eye opener to many here in many parts of their journey I'm sure.

Being at it for xx years now and having 'made it' here's what I can tell you:

    * Nobody making 6-7figures moving actual units of product is doing any kind of mickey mouse launches or spike money moves - long lifecycles tend to happen naturally through an unnatural process (aka screw launching wso's - launch a business that is online - in a lucrative niche or create your own micro niche. Monetizing on forums or monetizing marketers newer than you is a quick way to go broke, especially nowadays with a tech savvy (and getting smarter faster) market).

    * 5K/day consistently for the year gives you a milly after taxes in most cases (give or take). You think I'm worried about my wso or your learning curve with my blueprint while running a biz like that?

    * I've seen countless blueprints to huge success, and I've shared mine to an extent, and have been openly cloned/copied/attacked/stolen from/etc. and it's one thing to have access to enlightened knowledge - it's another to put it into motion and have any kind of similar success. Modeling after others success is what most try to do here (well, everywhere), but I've found in my 50 or so dot coms over the years the ones that took off on me were in unique niches that ended up being me filling a huge gap if not creating awareness to a new one I didn't know I'd create.

    * Fall in love with the process of something you're passionate about, and lose yourself in that as you develop a strategic biz move/product development/money flip/etc. Very few ppl in my circles that have made it, got there knowing this idea would be 'the one' - most only reflect after a while and go "holyyyyy sh!tt!! Did I really just do that?".

    * Finally - a lot of people I know didn't stay made the first time and took their first big spike for granted, didn't understand the responsibility of sustaining it nor the challenge of trying to ever repeat it at will (pshhhh - I've hit big - I can just turn the money switch "on" now whenever I want, since I understand how I did it.... No you can't and you'll learn how blessed you really were the first time). If you hit big - plan for that lifecycle to end someday and make sure you can reflect on that blessing and say to yourself "I couldn't have maximized it more while I had it - next".

I'm rambling - hopefully you can pull from this though. I've seen thousands of you's over the years, only the passionate all-or-nothing survive and they usually fumble their way there unknowingly until they are half way .
