Make Money by Promoting Content Rich Pages with Ads?

I wondered if there was another alternative to making money through the promotion of free offers. I asked myself, besides CPA offers what can I promote to my list, and profit from without my list having to 'buy' anything? I thought about promoting AdSense ads. Indirectly of course, you would be promoting the pages that contain your own ads, which also have quality content, so your visitors get value from the page. It's a win win for the both of you. It's even a win for the owners of the ads, because now they are receiving quality targeted traffic. I'm just dabbling in ideas here, but theoretically, you would only have l build a subscribers base of freebie seekers, and no necessarily a 'buyers list', for this to work, making it much easier to build a list also. The only 'bump in the road' is the fact that Ad clicks don't payout very well unless you receive thousands of them, which means your list has to be fairly big. So yeah, if you have a big list, would you consider this? Thoughts?

What you are referring to is called Native Advertising.

This is when you create a content page that you are advertising (as opposed to squeeze page) and you have a link/banner/whatever in the content that encourages people to either sign up to your list or buy a product from you.

Once of the great ways to do this is to create a helpful case study using the strategies inside a product you are trying to promote then have a feature box inside the content with a link to the product.

Ryan Deiss has written up a great post about how he does it at digital marketer: How to Get Started with Native Ads (in 60 Minutes or Less) | Digital Marketer

Doing it in the way you referring to by using adsense is probably not very smart. Adsense pays out very low and you'd make a lot more income by promoting affiliate products using this method.

    Hope that helps!

I admit I'm a little suspicious of someone who already has "3 Simple Traffic Sources to Generate Non-Stop Clicks, Opt-ins, and Sales" along with a "Ninja Traffic Source That Drives THOUSANDS of Buyers, DAILY" when they worry about how to monetize their site without actually having to sell anything.

There is a mismatch here. If you really have mastered what's in your sig, why do you have to worry about a few pennies from Adsense?

Even if I believed you, about the only way to generate Adsense revenue from a list is to tell people to click on the ads, a serious violation of the TOS and a very sensitive issue with Adsense. And don't just say you won't get caught.

You'd have to believe that a multi-billion dollar company with the resources Google brings to the table wouldn't catch on to a pattern of the same people clicking the same ads from the same site.

If you create content pages for your subscribers to open and read your articles, you can add Adsense ads there.

That way, when someone clicks on your ads, they don't buy anything but they still go to someone else's website and there is a chance that they will buy from them something.

In my own point of view, why can't you sell them products so that you make those commissions?

The whole point of a list is to make money off them too. If you don't want to, then why waste your time?
