How to generate traffic to a squeeze page?

I have tried many times to start an IM business, and always fell into the same trap: Traffic To The Squeeze Page.
Sure, everyone says "The List Is Everything", "The Money Is In The List" etc, but...
How do you START a list?
In order to start collecting people's emails you have to have a squeeze page, right? And in order for that squeeze page to be effective you need to have traffic to it, right? And traffic can be either be "bought" or generated through SEO, right?
Now THERE is when I always failed.
I had great niches, great ideas, great products to affiliate, but TRAFFIC was my all-times pitfall....
Can you, once and for all, explain, in simple English, how the heck can I create traffic to my squeeze page?
I tried Google Adsense, spending many $$ on ads that generated nearly no traffic.
I tried all sorts of SEO tricks (words density, quality content etc) but still, no meaningful traffic.
I published on Ezine, I had Facebook Ads, but nothing really worked.
In desperation i even bought a service that was supposed to "send" fake traffic, in order to "fool" Google.....naturally it didnt work.

So, how do I generate EFFECTIVE traffic, naturally as low price as i can?

    Forget SEO. Either Forum Marketing (free), Solo Ads or Banners are the way to go. Except the Solos & Banners will require an investment. Buysellads are a relatively cheap way to experiment with Banner Ads.

    Keep in mind there's a fine line between trying and doing.

    You're dabbling in way too many sources...

    And while it might seem like a mystery to you that nothing works...

    It's quite obvious from an outsider perspective.

    If you want traffic just pay for it.

    If you're hungry, but tired... but have the opportunity to make dinner that will take 30 minutes... or drive down to the local Japanese spot to get some good spring rolls along with your "relatively" cheap meal.... which would you choose?

    In other words, do you want to make the food at home for FREE over a stove for 30 minutes... or do you want to drive down the street and get some amazing Japanese food (instantly ready), and just pay $15 for it?

      Randall, as true as every word of your post is, the OP is ready to pay for it. That's the problem he's stating though. His paid methods have also been unfruitful. What he's stating is that NOTHING worked, paid or free.

        Thank you for your honesty! I'll give you a thank you for that too.

        The biggest names I'm familiar with, names that I subscribe to also --use Solo Ads. They have relationships built with each other and scratch each others back. That's how it get's done.

        They don't blog.
        They don't post in forums.
        They don't spend time on small returns.
        They mass market, to highly targeted prospects -- through solo ads.


        Not just any solo ads, but solos from people whom are their friends and partners..
        To expand their base, they do facebook. But they are already known IM Celebs, so their ads work, where an unknown may not.

        In doing that, they make Millions.

    As squeeze page usually contains less content it cannot be rank for organic traffic. So, you should go for investment. See below methods.

    1. PPC marketing - It may cost much but result is also good. Depending on your keyword it may cost $0.10 - $50 per click

    2. Article marketing - Hire some writers and post high quality article in various article directory as well as relevant blogs. Per 500+ words article may cost $5 - $10

    3. SMM (Highly recommended Facebook) - Buy Facebook ads. It costs only $1 for 2000 impressions (It may vary depending on your targeted audience).

    4. Banner ads - Find our 5-10 sites (It may blog or forum) that suits to your topic and buy banner ads. In this case please track your visitor so that you can know which site is converting much. Depending on the site it may cost $20 - $500 per 30 days for a single ad banner.

    If you have some investment, buying traffic is the best way to go but all traffic is not created equal. You can buy crappy untargeted traffic dirt cheap, as you mentioned, or you can buy targeted high-quality traffic which is the most expensive. Solo Ads is one source of OK paid traffic, I would say, that's relatively cheaper than big time media buys so many people start there, and its usually targeted too. SEO is not one I'd waste my time with. YouTube is a free source that's worth putting some time into. If you can learn to rank videos on the first page of Google, you will get decent traffic. There are many sources of traffic but you should choose and stick to 1 or 2 methods until you get good at them.
