Best way to send free offer after opt-in?

Curious what you guys use to automatically send your free offer after opt-in.

Do you use a specific plugin, or do you simply make the free offer included in the first of the auto-responder emails?

    You can also do both...

Depending on if you have a OTO, and what it is.

For example, your free gift can sit on top of a sales letter that actually presells what's below it.

(which is received once they optin, of course)

I prefer to break my free offer into 5 days minicourse and load them into my autoresponder.

2 major reasons for doing this...

Reason #1: I want to "train" my list to open and read my email

Reason #2: I have a chance to promote something (my own product or affiliate offers) at the end of my email.

    Hope it helps

You can follow the steps :

    - On your thank-you page, instruct them to check their email and confirm their address.

    - Put the download on another page of your site, and redirect people there after confirming.

    - Include a link to that download page in your autoresponder message also, for subscribers who may have accidentally closed the download page after confirming.

Good question. This^^ is what i do. Most often than not, if you've made your free offer enticing enough.... most subscribers will go to their inbox to receive your free offer. But you'd make money with either strategy. My preference is this one though.

As stated above, you'd always want to send your free offer via email. Trains your subscriber to open emails and more importantly, it trains them not to give a fake email address.

I mean, if you're giving a free offer, the least they can do is give you a valid email address.

I always send this via first autoresponder after they subscribe and on subscribing show them a thank you page telling them that they will get their copy in their email. This way you will have a track that approximately how many active users you are getting in actual. As most of the fake information senders won't be able to download this. It's not 100% foolproof but you will get close numbers

All business is successfully done on trust. So if you promise in your optin page to deliver what they are subscribing for once they subscribe to your list, either deliver that on your Thank You page or give clear instructions on your Thank You page to find your gift in their provided email, if you are doing that.
If you care about your visitor / customers' convenience, you will prosper.
    Wish you luck!
