I too play League of Legends. Why not try playing while commentating, then post it on youtube. There are many players who earn large amounts of money by doing this. Since you're one of the top players, why not join a professional team and earn thousands of dollars per week?

Still waiting for an update to this. I would love to hear how he can monetize from LoL. I heard people doing some trading over Diablo 3. But since the OP hasn't commented anything on this yet, I guess this is just a braggart's hoax.

In short answer yes you can teach that skill. I would make membership site and and fill it to the rim with videos and PDFs' then you can makert yourself on forums using facebook pretty much anywhere.

If I wasn't so busy already I would love to work with you..sadly my clone got lost in the mail

You can implement that knowledge into blog or youtube channel where you can help people and monetize it with adsense of course. It may take time but there are a lot of LOL players and you can definitely earn that way!

Play and record your playing sessions, choose the best one, upload it to you tube, drive them to your blog where you have tips and tricks.

Create a report about how to play the game for beginners, and give it for free if they subscribe to your list.
Email them often for secrets/tricks that you just found.

Create eBook that compile what is the advantage and disadvantage of a tribe or race. The stats of different weapons, how to upgrade the weapons. You can sell it.

You can start playing new MMORPG, and give a review on them.

Be the authority in LoL, then MMORPG.

So many things you can monetize this niche or subniche.

I used to play a lot as well but never competitively...you top guys are just too hardcore to mess with.

With that said, there are MASSIVE opportunities for you as a top player. Here's just a brief list-

1) One on one coaching. Hit the Rift/Treeline with your client. You watch as an observer, talk them through it and help them develop their skills. Then a brief summary after the match is over on where they messed up.
2) Team coaching- same concept.
3) A membership site with personalized advice on the hottest builds/toons right now. Basically you'd be like an exclusive MOBAFire site.
4) Video marketing your best matches for the ad revenue and popularity to drive the other three topics.
5) Host private tournaments w/ real cash money for teams. You take in the entry fees, pay out a percentage and commentate the matches. Makes money and gives massive authority.
6) An authority blog to sell your services, rare skins and merchandise.

I could go on and on....but you can definitely build a solid business around your experience if you act.

And PS- I officially challenge you to a 1:1 match-up so everyone can see how good you are. I haven't played in years and I was only decent back then, so it should be a serious slaughter.

If you're Challenger, I guarantee you can create a great guide and get some affiliates on board, especially if you stream. There are a lot of streamers that would be willing to help promote your stuff if you were a well-known player and had a good network.
