What are your favorite internet marketing forums?

I used all 3 these forums, they look like the same but in different colors, I found more useful information on warrior and webmastersun, they are great internet marketing forums to join for newbies and beginners in IM field. Digitalpoint is suitable for a webmaster forum than an internet marketing and it is very difficult to post on DP forum when they required likes first before posting to webmaster marketplace.

Theere are tons of forums like this if we search on google, bing or yahoo. All depends on you and requirements, you need to choose forums that realte to your niche and having opportunity to have more new connections on forum you selected.

Once in a while I visit the black hat forum to look around.

I've tried Wicked Fire but the foul language used in the posts there became a bit too much. I don't mind it here and there but it's seriously extreme. I also found a lot of the content unrelated to the IM niche. A total waste of time to use that forum in my opinion.

WF is the best when it comes to IM.

WF is the best when it comes to IM.

I quite agree with your opinion, for the first time, I visited wicked fire, just surfing some thread and I found that it's not relate to IM, just leave the forum because of that.

Inbound is great and very targeted. Very solid info being shared there too. I like the emphasis on CASE STUDIES.

You are right, stick with some forums will increase more opportunities for connections and conversations.
Not only forums, I saw more members here using facebook groups to chat and sharing theirs there.

I'm very happy with WF. Its better than Digital Point forums. I have been on DP for a long time but WF is just great for IM. There are some super threads here which will give you loads of information and tricks for promoting. I will stick with WF

There are only 2 that i like:

1) WarriorForum
2) Digital Point

I don't go too far after these 2. I think these are the best places to stay on top of the marketplace for latest news, changes, and new marketing ideas.

Blackhat as in Blackhat SEO Forums are about Illegal tricks? Gaming Google is now illegal? Man those people at Google must pay a lot to have there own laws.

SMH...Come on.. Seriously... I am glad the law does not go by your point of view. If so most anyone who buys SEO services here would be guilty. Yeah buying links is blackhat. DOH...

When talking blackhat SEO this is the question you must ask yourself "Is the work that I'm doing adding value to the user or am I just doing this for search engines to see?" -Wordstream. <-- link to article to educate yourself. If you are buying links you are not adding ANY value you are just doing for search engine purposes and therefore are participating in blackhat practices. Blackhat is so widely used that most users do not even know they are participating in it. As is evident in the warrior for hire section.

But wait Smeltzer that can not be right because they say they are whitehat.... Goes to show you how much they really know and you trust your site with them. Let me know how that works out for you.

So in summary is blackhat SEO illegal? NO unless you are doing something illegal. Violating Googles Webmaster best practices is in no way shape or form illegal or against any known law now or any conceivable future. THEY include your site and THEY rank your site. If it was illegal to do Blackhat SEO you can easily have any competitor arrested. You want to live in a world where you can go to jail just because a competitor performs blackhat SEO on your site?

quick look at their statistics as of 12/23/09. This would give you an idea of their strength.

Digital point:
# of Members: 336,561
# of Threads: 1,537,338
# of Posts: 12,453,623

Warrior Forum:
# of Members: 166,167
# of Threads: 112,250
# of Posts: 1,228,715

Black hat world is supposed to be more advance comparatively.

I think this would give you a bit help

I know some forums having million of posts/members but still as dead forums while more forums less post members they still get good traffic.

we can not calculate base on number of posts or members today, it depends on traffic come from search engines more.

to say they are getting most of there traffic from google is not a good thing. I ranked for make money online. Number 3 slot in the USA and number one in the UK. The traffic is utter garbage. It is the worst kind of traffic you can ever imagine. You get 10 year olds thinking they can get rich scamming people and other such nonsense.

I 100 percent would never ever want to rank for that ever ever again. You get more and better conversions from adfly. Yes the traffic is THAT BAD.

BTW do not believe me you can pm me I was "outsed" in the warrior forum for ranking above old established sites so must have been doing something dirty... You know the old envy monster. Back then I had a friend defend me but the post is still up and he can verify yes it was my site and I still have the domain to prove it.

Wink wink nudge nudge..Ehh here is the post anyway. My partner in crime really tore into him for bashing my skills and hard work. I know what google loves and I overload them with the good stuff.

I'm glad one of my competitors used a blackhat link farm service; he got first-page google rankings for awhile, til he got caught. Now his site's penalized/buried so far back (page 11, lol) for the keyword he never gets seen. His site never recovered, even 3 years later. He'd been a relative newcomer to my industry, so I was wondering why his page rank was so high. googling his name I saw him listed as a testimonial for some india-based link-farm/pageboost service, that apparently charges over a hundred a month etc.

Just do things the right way, 100% white-hat, patiently, for success. Never try to 'beat the SEs', that's stupid; just earn your ranking organically over years is what I've done.

I used to be a member of Digital Point 7-8 years ago and it was the best forum out there. Lots of active members who were taking action and very successful. I went back recently and now it's just full of dreamers and wannabees. I seriously cannot find 1 thread on the front page where somebody clearly knows what they're talking about and making money. There are also the same noob general / vague questions from here that the OPs have copy-pasted on DP because they didn't like the answers they got here lol. I thought WF was bad for having an extremely low signal to noise ratio, but DP is off the charts terribad.

It really does depend on what your objective is. Exactly who are you trying to connect with?

Are you trying to connect with newbies, slightly successful marketers, or advanced folks?

That should really determine where you should spend most of your time, whether it is WF, Digital Point.

I am surprised no one mentioned Millionaire Fastlane forum.

Its better if you read the book first. Yea its cheesy sounding but its got some people with some serious real world experience that are pretty generous with it.

Of course like every forum there will be contenders and pretenders and we just have to filter them on our own.

Yea I had not heard of the forum until I read the book The Millionaire Fastlane. Its pretty awesome in that he gives great detail on how he took his limo website to a huge payday...watched the new owners do miserably with it...bought it back..then had an even bigger multi-million dollar payday!

He puts alot of focus on our mentality as entrepreneurs and has gained him a huge audience/following.

I like the Warrior Forum. Back in the day I would frequent BetterNetworker.com (it's a forum for network marketers who are interested in IM) but the last few years it's been riddled with spam and people don't contribute to it like they used to.

I agree with you, warrior is really a big forum when I search topics relate to IM, it is always on top. Webmastersun and Digitalpoint are also good IM forums and I got sales when connected with customers and members there but mostly used, is warriorforum.

When I first started frequenting Warrior about 8 years ago there were several other Forums I went to.

One was Wicked Fire. I learned some stuff there but some of the people in that Forum have NO tact and are into Blackhat.

You can learn a lot but you have to wade through a bunch of crap to get to it

Its a community that does not mind stealing your stuff because they feel it should be free anyway and then they try to sell you their stuff.

English is not there native language. As it is not mine. Look at Alexa digitalpoint.com Site Overview You see 40 percent of all users are from India. Only a VERY small few are from English speaking countries. It is not nice at poking fun of them they are trying at least. It is better than most are doing.

  While I'm in the same boat in regards to not using black hat systems/tactics, it doesn't hurt to know how the work and what is being implemented. You never hurts to know when a competing site my be running some against you and how it's being done and possibly how to stop it.

I have two favorite forums. One is here on Warrior Forum and the other is Webmastersun. You can learn so much from both forums and people are always willing to lend a hand. It's important to stay around like-minded people when working online.

While searching for some internet marketing forums to offer my products, found this topic and find more useful. Thanks guys for suggestions.

I started here on the WF. Later I ventured on to other forums such as DP and BHW but I always come back to the WF. I think the info here, the general atmosphere and the interface are all better, so I spend the majority of my IM time on the WF.

Well, another Thread been risen from the dead.

Anyway, since we're here I will add my views on this as I went to DP recently.

If anyone thinks WF is full of senseless Newbs just make your way to DP LOL

Some of the Threads I visited were taking over by people who just did not seem to be rational or intelligent.

Like a bunch of 14 olds.

Seriously!

I feel a little embarrassed for them. I know Shawn Hogan, the Founder, did some hard time for Ebay affiliate cookie stuffing. Wonder what he is up to ??

Well said, I knew this and visited their forum but to be honest there are many Indians there and I could get any info that I need when reading some threads...that's thing need to be improved.

I also can not give good feedback to WF at this time, viewing some threads and seem it was repeated hundred of times and more threads need to moderated because they were posted by spammers or Xrumer/auto tools.
