Sending traffic to other people's affiliate sites...

Hi there,

I was wondering if there are any of you who are making a decent amount on only sending own and/or purchased traffic to other people's affiliate sites and earn commission? I would prefer to have my own product, and have started, but the other approach is easy to start immediately. BUT, will I be able to make any of it you think?

Looking forward to hear about experiences and to get some advice :-)

Cheers,
J.

Yes, you can make some money doing that . . .

But why would you want to? You will make more money keeping the traffic on your own site and selling products/services to your own clients. If you send traffic to others you can make a commission but that's the last you'll see of that buyer. Get your own traffic to subscribe to your list and you can sell to them over and over and over again.

Yes, created and selling your own products is where you want to get to eventually. However, starting with affiliate products is a great place to start with making money online.

Some successful Internet marketers swear by starting with affiliate marketing first, then once you build a list, to create your own products. Others say create your own products and build a list, then offer affiliate products.

Notice each method involves building a list!

Regardless of which method you choose, if you're able to build a list by offering value, you can't lose if you are consistent with your efforts and you don't give up.

If you don't build a list and have no sales funnel in place, you're losing revenue. You end up building another person's list for free and you miss out on your chance to maximize your ROI for each customer.
