I went for the pie in the sky deal

Yeah, I should know better. I bought into this program that said all I have to do is join and they would do all the work. Even said that if I optin with their Co-Op they would guarantee me 1 sale every month.

Well that did not happen and when I questioned it, I was told by another member that it was my fault for believing it! If I was not so pissed off, I probably would has thought his response was funny.

Funny part is, I was will to invest several hundred dollars with this person. He does not know this but he has saved me from making a bigger fool of my self.

And you wonder why I`m so jaded about the WSO`s on the forum.

Sorry but I just need to vent in a positive way.

Life goes on.

Life goes on, and fraud will go on too. Dust yourself off. What made you buy from them? Is there any way you can take from this experience, and use it for profit when selling from your own website? Think for a second... do you think it was good marketing on their part - to make you join their program?

Actually I bought from them because of the reviews. Secondly, If I choose to, I can use the experience to actually build on what they tried to do but with some minor changes. Do I think it was good marketing on their part? I joined so it must have been good but then the plans starting changing because it was not sustainable under current conditions.

I do have other websites that are doing well, so I will put my focus on what I already have.

I have been online from as far back as 1995 and in Digital Marketing since 1999, believe me I have been ripped off many times over. Not just from the 'pie in the sky' episodes, but the ones that sold it all based on emathy. Much older and much wiser now, only investing with the ones that hold themselves accountable and tranparent.

    Been there done that.

Oh well, we live and learn, and life goes on. The challenge, from my perspective, is not to get jaded cynical or quit; but to keep growing and moving forward. Cheers!

you should buy things based on your needs, not because someone else (who probably has some incentive) recomended or reviewed a product.

you should be making very few impulse type of purchases in the MMO space. instead, you should do your buying much like most people do their grocery shopping. When most people go to the grocery store they have a list of things they need and they go to the store to get just those items.

buy things in the MMO market with the same sort of discipline. only a very small amount of your purchases should be impulse items in this market.

take the emotion and dreams out of your buying decisions. think of every purchases more of an investment.

Well David, the number one rule is, if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is too good to be true.

    Testimonial can be made up.
    Videos can be made.
    Screen Shot can be photoshoped.
No software can automate your job fully, not even VA.
"Fire your Designer", hell, I better have my designer do my design, I am blind when it comes to art.

I would suggest that if you think there was a problem with the offer or fraud or anything like that, that you put a polite (no name calling), factual (no hype), review in the WSO thread.

If there is something wrong with the offer, even with great reviews, what is to protect the next customer if those with not so glaring reviews don't speak up?

you should remind me to recommend this more. I am pretty big on taking personal responsibility for your own buying decisions, but when those bad experiences are never mentioned it makes it hard for all but the very experienced folks to discern what is BS sometimes.

Whatever you do, please don't let this discourage you from moving on and continuing your journey to becoming successful.

Most of us, if not all of us who have succeeded, have been in your shoes and we've been fooled into buying something that wasn't what it was supposed to be.

We learn from it and move on.

Many WSO's in this forum have changed people's lives for the better. Why don't you try to find ONE method that's proven to work such as list building, affiliate marketing, or Adsense niche marketing.

Stick to that one proven method for at least a year
and put your heart and soul into it. You will make progress and you will get better through trial and error, which is something no course can teach you.

But you have to stick with it long enough. And don't ever stop reaching for that pie in the sky; it's gonna' taste freaking awesome once you finally grab and taste it!

Thank you Mark for your sound advice. I have sent the WSO owner a private message and waiting for his reply. Then I will put in an honest review in the thread, stating that the guarantees made was not delivered.

This has not deterred me from making other investments in the future although I do fully understand that sometimes investments can go bad and I`m ok with that.

    Another good quote:

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

Lesson learned, though. Take it and turn it into a beneficial experience.

You can't do a good deal with bad partners.

One of the more important lessons I've learned is the importance of good partnerships. It's a lesson I continue to learn. Simply put, if you have good partners, gaining financial freedom is easier. If you have bad partners, gaining financial freedom is harder., sometimes painful... ofter costly.

Another point on this is when I see someone struggling, it's often because they have bad partners. For example, the person could be married to a spouse who is lazy, does not study, spends too much money on food, alcohol, sports, partying or clothes.

Or the person could be surrounded by friends who have bad habits or negative attitude about money, even to the point of criticizing the person's desire to improve themselves or their financial position. So a bad person doesn't necessarily have to be a bad business partner.

One of the reasons I've gained my financial freedom, is simply because I've had the good fortune to have good partnerships. When I have good business partners, money seems to find me (even though I still have problems, I don't have to worry)if I choose good business partnerships.

I have also had bad partnerships. They were not bad people, just bad partners. And I must admit some of my partners thought I was a weak partner... and and those cases I was. Whenever my partners or team members are not in tune, playing by the same set of rules, same ethics or morals, the business or investment will be sluggish and profits drop, expenses go up, and stupid mistakes are made.

    "Business is a Team Sport"

Choose Your Partners and Your Team Carefully

As an entrepreneur and investor, one of the most important personal development skills I've had to build is how to identify the right opportunities and handle people, especially partners. I wish I could give you the magic wand... but there is no such thing. As the old saying goes, "Sometimes you to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince or princess. "So keep kissing, don't be discouraged, it's just comes with the territory.

    Hey David,
It happens to the best of us. Really it does.
