Monetizing my website.....

Good Day Everyone!

Monetizing My Website.....

I am noticing that alot of internet marketing is trial and error. Every internet marketer has their own system of doing things....by testing what does and what does not work.....I am new to internet marketing and a have a few questions in regards to monetizing my website....

I will be trying to target 50 keywords, which means I will have about 50 articles/webpages for my website. If I want to be an infoprenuer, should I monetize my wesbite w/ ads like Google Adsense and other similar ad companies? If so, how do I get those ads on my website and how do I know what type of ads should I advertise? Should I be targeting the niche that I am in?

...if I shall decide on affiliate marketing, when I write an article in reference to what I am marketing, should I place my affiliate link on my article/webpage?

I am taking an affiliate/niche marketing course and I have not gotten to the portion of the course when I start to monetize....I was just curious if this is the information that I may be getting when I reach that part of the course.....

I know that I need/want to build it to an authority website so that I can try to build an income goal of $2000 a month, which will require thousands of articles/webpages in order to get to that point. .....and I also know that I have to crawl before I walk.

..I have so many questions and I know the course is not going to teach me everything since I have halfway done w/ the course....It is so many gray areas w/ internet marketing. I want to learn as much as I can because I want to be successful and I have a strong interest in this industry. I am glad to see forums like this because it will help me greatly especially having a community that has the same interests. I am pretty sure that this will not be my last post...lol :-)

I look forward to hearing from you all!....Take Care Have A Great Day! :-)

I went down the route of affiliate marketing and I would have to say, the best way to go about it is once you have built your website for your niche, build a mailing list, that way you gather your customer base up, probably provide them with something free as in incentive, then send them your affiliate product in an email. This method has helped me make a lot of money. I would recommend using Hybrid Connect to easily build your list and attract buyers to your product or affiliate.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! Is Hybrid connect an autoresponder and if not, should this product be used along w/ an autoresponder?

    Welcome to the forum.

As for monetizing your web site with Adsense . . . I will tell you that there are many more lucrative ways to make money. You will find that one of your biggest challenges is getting a constant stream of targeted traffic to your web site. The whole premise of Adsense is that you are paid a few pennies when people on your site click away through an ad.

Wouldn't it be better to monetize your site visitors by selling a product or service (your own or an affiliate product)? You'll be paid in terms of multiple dollars instead of Adsense pennies. Not only that, I believe many people have developed a blindness to Adsense. I have. I see the Adsense box and I turn away because I have no interest in clicking their ads.

You don't need "thousands of articles" on your site in order to get to $2K per month in revenue. Change your focus to writing value-packed and original articles that are laser-targeted to your niche audience. One such article, IMO, is much more valuable than 10 regular articles. It takes some effort to come up with these gems . . . but the effort is worth it because very, very few site owners do it! Your site will stand out and above other sites in your niche if you focus on such quality and effort.

I would strongly suggest you create your own products if you want to be an infopreneur. It's not really that difficult and there are lots of courses and helps right here on the WF. Just search on phrases like "product creation."

Be observant and watch what goes on here. Developing the ability to learn from others (to cut down your own trial and error) is a valuable skill for entrepreneurs. Just don't believe everything you read on the forum.

    To your success!

I appreciate your response! Yes, I also agree that it is better to create my own product versus relying on another source in order to maintain my income for a website. It is good to hear that it does not take that amount of articles build a monthly income of $2K. ...I agree I should focus on quality instead of quantity....I will implement all of your suggestions, and I really appreciate you!
