Don't stop, don't give up

Title says it all really..

You might have had an idea that motivated you and pushed you to take action.. Started building blogs and finding all the information you needed.. Got abit of traffic.. Might have even got a sale...Then you hit a rock then decided to quit.

Happens all the time and if this is you.. You have to keep going!!!

There's millions out there to be made on the Internet.. Refresh your old ideas and bring them to life.. Think of new ones and take action!!

The biggest mistake you can make is giving up!!

Good luck!

So what about people who are not cutout for IM?
Or are you one of those who say "anyone can do it as long as they have the right mind set"?

Would you rather someone bangs their head against the wall for years draining their bank account in the process and in the end achieving zip?

There comes a time in any business offline or online when you have to take stock of a bad situation and make the decision whether or not to continue...

I personally believe that anyone can be successful at IM if they persist long enough, learn from their "failures", and have a positive mindset. (There is no "innate talent" required to be successful at IM.)

At the same time, however, I understand what you're saying. And I think that for some people it wouldn't be their "ideal" occupation. The process is simple:

      1. Find or create something of value. 2. Reach out to people who will benefit from what you're offering and sell it to them. It's not rocket science.

You'd be no good at poker!

Knowing when to fold and hold is a lot more logical.

Neither would you if you decided to quit playing altogether just because a couple of bad hands.

(Which I think it what OP meant.)

The only people who don't eventually make a lot of money on the Internet are the ones who give up before realizing their full potential.

Research and find ONE method that by all indications, is THE WAY to go (such as list building, affiliate marketing, YouTube marketing, Adsense niche marketing).

Then, make it your mission to make your first sale or revenue. After that, find ways to scale up your business.

There are going to be some bumps and bruises. However, you can't fail if you have a winning attitude and you don't quit!

That's all good and well from someone proclaiming to make a 5 figure income... But are you saying that anyone irrespective of background, education, work ethic etc. will "make a lot of money online" through sheer persistence?

What if i told you that anyone can become a brain surgeon, physicist, micro biologist etc. as long as they try long enough and never give up?

    The fear of failing

The fear of failing is the number one reason people don't have financial freedom. When people get too emotional, they sabotage their own success. They play it too safe and quit because they are unwilling to face the challenges of success, out of fear of failing.

If your going to have financial freedom, you have to learn to control the emotion of fear, stay focused and persevere. This is why personal development is so important. It teaches you to control your emotions, especially fear.

There is also the other end of the equation. There are many many who really never give it a serious try, doubting themselves, adopting a pessimistic outlook and not realizing that there is a place for everyone.

The opportunity is there but there is work to be done and the road to success may be a rocky one initially. During those rocky times is when one realizes whether this is for them or not.

re: Don't stop, dont' give up --- awesome advice, thank you! I spent many years and far too much money chasing after shiny objects, trying to make money online. Very often my failure was my own fault as I gave up too soon and went off to try something else! Finally, I realized I wasn't goint to get anywhere without a mentor --- someone to tell me what to do and show me how to do it. One of the first things he suggested was to join The Warrior Forum, and I'm so glad I took his advice, as there are, indeed, many experts on here who are ready, willing and able to share their tips to help others. Keep smiling!

Good post. I like what you said at the top and though it is true not everybody is cut out for internet marketing as well as everybody is not cut out for being a brain surgeon, I would say at least half of the people that started a blog and then quit could have made money if they spent more than a few weeks or even a few months working on it. It is not a get rich quick scheme but is probably one of the better ways to make money after putting in 1-2 years. I would say if you actually spent that much time working on something and making it the best that it can be, you would eventually see something back from it all. Of course not everybody is going to have the time, patience, or energy for all of this

    Hey Jefferson,
I can appreciate what you say. And persistence indeed does pay off. I just think there are some people who are just NOT cut out for this. No matter how much they want it.

They are just not and I think it is important to recognize this

That's precisely the point i'm trying to make but it's no use, reality gets drowned out on these forums by half truths, exaggeration, lies, self promotion, idiocracy, complete ignorance, desperation ..... It's a shame really...

    You can't give up!
Making money online means living the dream of being your own boss, making more money then what %99 of the jobs out there can offer you and all from the comfort of your home!
You need to be crazy to give up on that!
The key is to focus on 1 thing only until you master it and not to move from shiny object
    to another.
I also find making money online more fun then any other job that i ever had so its just
a blessing to live in a time where people can make tons of money from their home
while investing only a couple of hours per day doing that.

Can I just say thank you to all you guys its really helped me. I just need to keep believing and keep trying.

You don't know how hard it has been trying to sell my own info product to train people up to repair gas street lamps for a living.

I thought the market had died (what with you know electricity and everything). I know see that its not a dead market, or my bad business plan or the fact that their is absolutely no demand for my product that's holding me its because I don't believe.

Well thats it I 100% believe that gas street lamps will have a revival so I am remortgaging my house selling the car and pumping it all into solo ads

There are definitely some people who just aren't cut out for working for themselves, whether it be offline or online. It's usually the ones starting multiple threads with very vague, general questions without doing any research themselves and expecting everyone else to give them an executive summary of what they need to do.

These people rarely change and rarely succeed. They want to be spoonfed and need to have everything neatly planned out for them and lots of structure. They have the "employee mindset." These people should definitely give up. In fact, they never get started.

What separates the winners from the losers is not failure, everybody fails, but quitting!

If you stick to your goals, and keep your eyes on the prize, and make no excuses you will make it!

Never stop believing in yourself and in your vision know no matter what you're going to make it!

Actually, what separates winners from losers is:
      1. Hard work
      2. Talent
      3. Skill
      4. Passion
      5. Creativity
      6. Resources
      7. Luck
Obviously, anybody can work hard or get lucky -- but I hardly think that's a recommended business strategy! I'll also admit that if you're particularly gifted in one or more of the above areas it can make up for deficiencies in others. For instance, if you have a lot of resources at your disposal (e.g., money, friends in high places, etc.), you might be able to succeed with less skill or talent. But the point is that hard work alone -- and by extension not quitting alone -- is far from a guarantee of success.

Clearly, if you do quit you cannot succeed. But it's a logical fallacy to assume the converse -- that if you don't quit you will succeed. That sort of "mindset" might work when trying to sell MMO products to dreamy newbies who don't really understand what it takes to run a successful business, but it's not really how business works.

The ones who persevere through their obstacles and refuse to quit are the ones who ultimately climb over the barrier that most people can't ever seem to climb. The ones with the biggest burning desire to win are the ones who ultimately win. The ones that don't come up with a list full of excuses as to why the are incapable are the ones who win. The ones who create their own "luck" are the ones who win. The ones who take responsibility and take no for an answer are the ones who win. Success has nothing to do with how lucky you are, how talented you are, or what resources you have. Success comes from within and the will to never give up no matter what obstacles you face. Success is facing your fears and failing over and over until you get it right . Success is the will to keep going every single day despite the challenges you face. So no it's not wishful thinking, having the wrong mindset and refusing to take action will only cause you be a cynical thinker who finds excuses as to why he is not successful.

I think quitting without significantly trying (and without thoughtfully studying everything relevant) is very different from ...

... Knowing the right time to move on to a better oppurtunity that presents itself ...

For example, Apple didn't actually quit the desktop market altogether. Rather, they just focused on the mobile market that presented an oppurtunity they carefully studied, tested and based their projections and overall campaigns from ...

As for success -- I think success is relative. Here's why:

The more success you have, the more relatives around you ...
