How to research a topic for ebook?

Hi there,

I want to write my first ebook in the IM niche.

I have an idea about the topic that I want to write about. How do I make the research to find that there is a hungry market?

    Doing a keyword check will tell you how many people want information on whatever topic within IM you are writing about. Also, you can check out sites like Clickbank to see if that type of product sells well. This can give you an idea as to whether or not your ebook will be desired by consumers.

      Wiki research as well as going to Ezine Articles and look up some top authors in the related Niche to learn

    Another tip is to actually do the keyword searches in Google and then have a look on the right hand side at the adwords. If all the slots are filled, then that's a sign that there's $$ to be made.

    Using Amazon is usually a good start. Just do a search within the niche you are wanting to write and see what the most popular books are in that niche. Click on a few of them and they will usually let you see the contents page. This will give you a lot of more specific ideas within that topic to write about. Many of them will be great topics for ebooks.

    I think this forum is a good place to start. Here you see what types of questions people are asking related to your topic, so you can just make a list of these questions and base the content of your ebook on that.

    Just make sure your ebook answers a bunch of questions and you'll be fine.

    Go to Amazon and sort down the products by Top Sellers, and then by category and sub-category. You will get an idea about what's selling in your category and create your first ebook in that order.
