Pixabay is the first place I go, then I go to Bing Images, which used to be inside of the Microsoft Office site.

CC Search is probably the best place where you can find pics to use that you are allowed to use with commercial rights also. I hope this helps!

All you have to do is just google free images and you will get a load of things pop-up.

I think you can search on google. Then the google will show you the location of the Images. SOme sites may use the copyright protection. others site do not use the copyright protection. So you can use the free images, which has no copyright. It is the easiest way for you. Thanks

Actually, you need to use the advanced image search to search for copyright free images, and even then Google does not guarantee the license to be accurate and neither does Bing.

Most of the images found via Google and Bing are copyrighted, and a large majority of the images that can be used need to be credited/attributed under the the Creative Commons license terms other than CC0.

Ksmusselman made quite a list; some of them are not even familiar to me so I’m also excited to go check them out. My own personal favorite is Pixabay too, and sometimes if I really don’t have time to search I just use free images from Microsoft office.

Microsoft Office moved all of their stock images over to Bing.

I used to go to Office all the time; had it bookmarked, and then voila - their image gallery was gone and they referred me to Bing.

There was a thread regarding this same issue and I recall someone shared a very, very long list of websites with stock images (both free and paid).
Anyway, what I personally do is I google search. It's gonna take some time to build a nice bookmark collection of your preferred websites, but just use google and see which websites show up. Then be careful not to download images with watermark on them! For some pictures, you'd have to pay.

Those are not copyright free images, you are licensing the images (for free) and many uses are prohibited, some uses require permission from the photographer, and some images need attribution. Those images are subject to a licensing agrement.

Copyright free images are CC0 (Public Domain) images --> Pixabay is one of the big CC0 sites.

Yeah, CC images on Flickr can be a decent way to go as long as you don't mind providing attribution on CC licenses other than those licensed CC0 (Public Domain).

That said, in most cases, no guarantee exists that the person that uploaded the image to Flickr (or most other image sharing sites or free sites) actually owned the image or was authorised to share it under CC license terms. No guarantees exist with most free image sites, and that's why buying an inexpensive stock photo from a legit source is sometimes the best way to go if the project is not a legit fair use project.
