ATTN NEWBIES: QUIT Being So Lazy!

Holy Crap Guys

Use the SEARCH feature before you ask one of the following questions that's asked multiple times per WEEK:
  • What would you do with $200?
  • How would you make $100 a day fast?
  • How would you make $500 a day?
  • How would you make $100k per year?
  • Etc...
It's ALL in here already, and every-time the answer is the SAME:

It's going to take HARD WORK. You can't simply push a button and send tons of magical traffic to your websites/youtube channel that will make you an instant internet gazillionaire.

You need to understand that it's going to take work to succeed in this business, and YES it's a business. It takes money, hard work, dedication.

You're going to fail, you're going to feel like giving up - but STICK WITH IT and quit buying every other WSO that promises you $500 over night "done for you".

Find ONE method and stick with it, want to know what works well?

ONE of the following:
  1. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  2. Make Money Blogging - you write about topics people in your NICHE (yes, stick to one) are searching for and monetize with adwords, affiliate products, etc
  3. Build a List: Put together a sqeeze page, offer people in your potential list a freebee (write it yourself or outsource it) that they can't refuse and give it to them for FREE! Do NOT use a non informative Title such as "The Secrets to Weight Loss" - they can google that and it's not interesting. However, something like "How I lose 7 lbs in 7 days WITHOUT Dieting" - THAT'LL get people signing up like crazy.
    1. Drive Traffic with Solo Ads, Facebook Marketing, or Google OR bing/yahoo PPC
Combine all 3 of those things together and you'll be unstoppable, just remember it takes WORK and you're not going to get there overnight.

It's not looking like spam only - it is spam when you are dropping links to your books and courses outside your sig.

Can we maybe have this in a sticky post? Maybe make the title a little nicer, but with the same info on how to easily find answers

This is a issue/complaint that comes up almost as much as the questions you've posted, and it's always a welcome thread to a lot of regulars here, including me.

Why people don't use the search feature more has always been a question mark to me. After-all, that's one of the most valuable tools of most internet marketers. Although you must admit, the search feature on this site isn't exactly a technical marvel that instills confidence.

So, I came up with the following conclusions why the same questions are asked over and over again by people.
      • They really are lazy like you said.
      • They've researched and want to get the most current answers.
      • They searched already, but they ask now thinking the answers may have changed. (Sometimes they do).
      • They want to increase their post count.
      • They want to expose their signature.
      Or all of the above.

Ironically, if you notice, most of the 'routine' questions asked over and over again, tend to get the highest participation too. So, the ones who answer the same questions maybe part blame to some extent.

      Something to consider.

        They are among us.

I've been a member at a WAH forum for a couple more years than I've been here, and this same topic comes up a lot in different sections over there too.

How do I start? Where do I look? Have you heard about this yet? I need help!

It's like they just can't comprehend the Search function.

You could have it as a bright flashing neon banner that stretches the length of your monitor and it still wont help... Personally i think most of those who post stuff that been done to death don't actually care about keeping the forum clean and relevant...

100% correct, iv'e never understood why/how someone (Old or New member) could answer the same questions day in and day out. Im sure a few do it out of generosity but i'm just as sure that many do it for "other" reasons...

      Two things:
1)They can't comprehend the search function...
2)Even though anyone who lands on the WF home page can clearly see that there are multiple forums these clowns insist on only posting on the Main Forum...

    Thanks Jeff.

And yes I so appreciate what you did with No Sig.

In a way it is so sad, though !

It seems like anymore even the most credible Warrior Members get 'assaulted' and accused of Sig Spam by other members when starting a new thread

It has really gotten out of hand

I have made a decision when I see a Thread that is truly worthy started by a altruistic member who has really contributed to the Community and then other members start this kind of harassment they can be rest assured I will not be quiet about it anymore.

Like I said enough is enough !!

internet is all about getting into it first....and knowing that there is money in it.....who would have thought that a guy like "pewdiepie" and the father of "Hulyan and Maya" in youtube would earn millions. Based on my opinion, they did it at the start by just simply having fun with it. That's maybe their passion as well. so for everybody out there...just do the things that you like best...don't think about the money...it will just demotivate you....doing what you love will never ever make you tired or get lazy....

It's amazing how people are willing to put in 40/50hrs a week at a job they probably can't stand, fight traffic both ways and then come home and work for an hour on the Internet and expect results... This is a business and should be treated as such... You shouldn't be asking what would you do with $100, $200 etc, you should be asking yourself "What do I need to do to make my business successful?"...

Great post BTW... I've missed this place, I think I'll come back more...

    Hi Jeff,

    Great points.

I'd add, it takes mental work too. Some with a poverty/failure consciousness feel hard work means posting ads on forums for 14 hours a day.

That's dumb work, failing work. Because they think like failures, they act like failures.

Smart, intelligent, persistent work brings success.

Smart, intelligent work is borne of a success conscious mindset, and you gotta work on your mental tools to get that mindset.

Also, keep on creating and connecting. I prefer blogging and list building as my tools of choice, so I create plenty of in depth blog posts along with plenty of strong bonds with niche leaders to prosper.

    Create.

    Connect.

Keep working on that mindset through meditation and visualization, and through observation.

In time you'll kill it online, in a good way

    Smart post!

    Signing off from Bali.

Maybe people that create those same thread needs specific advice for his/her current situation. Just saying..

So I just wondering, how warriorforum can fix this?

Maybe they can implement new code or something that show up relevant threads (under the title bar) once people type words in the new thread title.

Let say this lazy guys type "how to make..", then under the title bar, shows up "how to make money fast"/"how to make $200 per day" etc etc etc. (old relevant thread links) - this can give them option whether to read the old threads or to ignore it. Some will, and some don't, but at least we can reduce the amount of same thread post..

This type of idea I get from Fiverr support/contact us. Where once you type in, relevant FAQ links will appear below it, which is nice..

If warriorforum can pull this off, it would be great for all the community, well at least Jeff will be happy.

What irks me most about these type of posts is that the OP almost never participates in the thread after the question is asked. Or, the 3 post newbie gurus chime in with "the money is in the list" or "build your list today" .

    Very good post.

I think this happens because the name should be changed from

    "Internet Marketing"

    to

    "Internet Business"

I think a lot of new people to the tech/internet world.
They see words like "Internet Marketing" and it might give the impression of
"Hey, if I just learn these few task of internet marketing. I will be rich."

When you say "Internet Business". That sounds more involved.

    Just my two cents here.
