Best Way to Invest $25000?

Hi Experts,

My goal is to start earning consistent passive income. Can you suggest some tried and tested ways to help accomplish my goal? I do not have talents such as copywriting, seo or web development.

Adding some items below that interest me:

1. Online arbitrage - specifically Amazon FBA - perhaps some good tutorials or referrals for a "good/honest/caring mentor" that teaches how to be successful at this?

2. Selling stuff on Ebay - Back in the day (maybe 10 years ago) I used to sell electronics on ebay as a hobby. I have 250+ feedback on ebay and would like to leverage that. Again, looking for good course material to help with this.

3. Adsense income. This is where it gets technical for me since I don't have the requisite technical knowledge to identify a niche , build site, drive traffic and generate revenue. But I'm willing to give it a shot if someone can point me in the right direction

  • The best way to start is to invest in yourself. Invest in your education because without that, you'd end up wasting not only your capital, but your time as well which is way more important because it's something that you can never get back no matter how rich you are.

Focus on mastering a skill. Since you're here on WF, I'm assuming you're looking into doing something internet marketing related. If that's the case, focus on learning and mastering traffic generation because once you master that, you can literally create income on demand.

You'll also have to understand that it's no quick overnight success thing. It takes time, money and effort to become a person worthy of success and residual income.

While you're learning, create a blog and consistently create content specifically targeting certain niches and keywords. You can outsource this if you like. Shoot videos as well targeting keywords and specific niches.

You should also build a list so you'll need an autoresponder, I use GetResponse and always drive traffic to a landing page or a capture page where you can generate leads.

You can also pay for traffic if you please like FB PPC, banner ads, solo ads, etc.

As for now, I highly recommend education first because you need to know what you're doing and then while you're learning, create content (it's like online real estate) and do paid ads when you can. There are tons of information out there today that can change your life and business. Don't hesitate to invest in them because you're building yourself and growing which is what you should aim for if you want to be successful at creating passive income.

  • Real Estate. Seriously. If you know nothing about real estate, there are 3 month licensing courses for under 2 grand, and after that you can invest on your own without paying broker fees. Its probably most safe thing to do. There are a lot of houses offered dirt cheap by banks after repossession, banks do not hold them for long, they want money asap, so you can buy them, and then take few months to sell for lot more money.

Internet marketing would just eat you alive if you try to invest as a newbie.I would not advise trying to invest in web sites you need developed as that can become very costly really quick, and you not knowing enough can get you locked out of your own sites. Far too much fraud going on in this business to just jump in with cash hoping to make return quickly.

    • $25K will not suffice for real estate, at least in the US. Not at this time. It has been a buyer's market for a while, and you will have to bring in a huge amount of money to win the bidding wars for foreclosures. I've seen some foreclosed houses start bidding on 5 figures quickly rise to half a million it's ridiculous. At that point most bidders walk away realizing they might as well buy a new house.
  • Advice from people trying to sell ya products.. go with strategic partners man.. get with companies already established that already have $25k/month cashflow that can use your $$ for marketing dollars and do profit sharing with you.
  • Here We Go Again...... Just like clockwork.......

    • Then you are looking in all the wrong places. Try Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive: Outsell, Outmanage, Outmotivate, and Outnegotiate Your Competition by Harvey MacKay. I had it paperback 15 years ago, bought ebook as well.

Not to mention there are literally thousands of solid ebooks worth reading for purely entertainment value exceeding $1 per ebook.
  • Start a business, 25k is more than enough
  • It is unlikely that you can earn a sustainable passive income without putting time and effort into what you do. As with anything in life you have to work at it in order to generate a healthy income and that means a daily grind. Stick at it and the rewards can be significant.

  • The best way is to hire a mentor who has successfully earned a passive income from internet marketing to guide you on becoming successful yourself online. Invest in a website, fill it with quality content, and an opt in for your list, then just drive traffic using paid and free traffic sources to add subscribers to your list. Promote your offers to your list using monetization techniques and CPA offers to convert your subscribers to buyers.

    • DallasStar,

This is just me talking, but I find the first method a lot of work (and a lot of upfront capital) -- I'd need to search for good products, buy them, send it to Amazon, and advertise my Amazon FBA listings ...

Same thing with the second method -- I'd need to search for good products, buy it and promote my eBay listings ...

      So, what I'm thinking is:

Why not do it the other way around? i.e. Look for products in eBay that are selling well. Look for the same or similar products in Amazon with lower prices. Include those Amazon products in your eBay listings. Promote your eBay listings to US-based buyers. Regularly update your eBay listings based on stock availabilities in Amazon. When customers buy your eBay listings, you buy it from Amazon and ship it to them; and

I think this is also scalable with an outsourced team of remote assistants ...

My main problem with Adsense sites is that it mainly relies on organic search traffic. We did onsite and offsite content development, traffic generation and SEO campaigns for a client with a large network of Adsense websites (more than 100 sites) from 2008 to 2013; and

Everything was going very well in terms of Adsense revenues from 2008 to 2012, until Google Panda, Penguin and Hummingbird. From 2013 up to today, we only maintain 15 sites in this client's network ...

      So, what I'm thinking is:

Why not go with ad revenues from Youtube videos and Dailymotion videos instead? According to this article in SearchEngineWatch -- 2014 Internet usage stats show that mobile use has surpassed PC use, which is the biggest shift since the beginning of the Internet; and

As announced in this recent post in the Official Google Webmaster Central Blog -- Starting this April 21, Google will start to roll out significant changes to their ranking algorithm, in which we can expect to see more mobile-friendly pages in the search results; and

Google said this will substantially affect search results in all supported locations and languages globally, particularly for mobile searches ...

Many people around the world regularly search and watch videos on their mobile devices, especially with apps that make it quick and easy for them to do this; and

It's more straightforward in my opinion to rank my Youtube and Dailymotion videos in Youtube Search and Google Search, and it's also more straightforward to drive traffic (and generate views, as well as rank in Google Search) from a wide variety of sources to a mobile-friendly website (and to Facebook pages and other mobile-friendly social networks) with my embedded Youtube and Dailymotion videos ...

Also, others can embed my Youtube videos and Dailymotion videos in their sites, blogs and social networks, which will earn ad revenues for me; and

There may also be a lot of Dailymotion publishers who could be interested in embedding my videos in their sites and social networks. This is since they'll also earn part of the ad revenues generated from views they get on those embedded Dailymotion videos (I'll still get my share of those ad revenues as the creator of the videos) ...

  • The best investments you can make is in a quality education and more importantly yourself.
    • [1] reply
    • What you are asking is to "buy money" - to "purchase a steady income" - and it doesn't work that way.

Yet you say you basically know nothing - don't write - don't know how to build a site or choose a niche or promote....

If you really have $25k to invest - you better keep it in the bank until you know what you plan to do - and how to do it. Otherwise, you have just identified yourself as a target for every "passive income fast - do nothing in your underwear - I guarantee $$$ - greatest coach ever" seller promoting on this forum.

I personally doubt someone with $25k would be so vague about spending it - but if I had that amount to SPARE, I'd be creating a serious business selling good products and aiming for long term growth. The first order of business would be educating myself...by using time more than money.
      • [ 3 ] Thanks

  • I would invest in myself and building a long term business by learning how to build and communicating with your list and then begin building one.
  • You can buy some websites that are already generating income from Adsense or other methods. However, it is easy to get scammed unless you have experience.
  • You asked:

If you are going to invest your money with affiliate marketing and want to actually make big profits, this is what I would do. Find a product that:

    1. Can earn you $20-$50 on the front end.

    2. Can pay you anywhere between $20-$50 per month residual.

    3. Can Pay you higher commissions on the backend. (Something in the rang of $400-$5000 one time)

If you can find a product like this, which you can, the money that you will invest will actually make you profitable.

Most affiliates just earn a one time commission and they are pretty happy about that because they earned a commission. That is the main reason why so many fail because they fail to make a decent profit. I used to be like that in the past so know that I know what I am talking about.

When you do start to advertise, I would invest your money on pay per click ads.

  • Adding one more to my wishlist:

Flipping sites - I've always been fascinated by this. But, as many have pointed out, it surely requires experience to identify the right sites and probably the web gurus pick up these sites, generate more traffic using their traffic generating skills and then flip the sites. Again, if I'm able to find the right "mentor", I think I could pull this off.

To summarize, I have high level of interest in few of these:

    - Selling on Ebay
    - Amazon FBA
    - Flipping websites

Sometime ago I had 500$ and I thought what to do. I walk into bookshop and checked out magazine section. For some reason one magazine cought my attention, I just like the cover. I looked inside and noticed beautiful bracelets. I took a photo with my phone and at home research what kind of jewelry it was. In couple of months I opened web store, Facebook page, and a blog. The next day I've got first order and in 3 years I sold this business for 6 figures.
To answer your questions: do what is appealing to you and not what everyone is doing. Selling on eBay and amazon you have more than enough to start with the question is can you manage on your own? If not you will have to hire someone manage for you, extra expenses and now you will have to manage business and someone else. For flipping websites can you create them? I spent 3 month learning coding at codeacademy dot com so I could have full control over my web store and blog. Withing 3 years of running my business I was constantly upgrading my skills by taking courses on SEO, marketing, accounting, creative writing. Does it helped me? A lot, especially accounting and creative writing. So it all comes to question how much you want to succeed and do your planning accordingly. Managing business takes more time and effort than flipping websites, also you don't need 25k to create them.
  • I'm curious...
How much would you want to make per month from your $25K investment?
How much work per day would you do to achieve it?
    • [1] reply
    • I'd invest the 25k in phases, not all at once. I would set "realistic" (I know it's a relative term) targets (for a newbie). For starters, I would be happy with $50 - $75 per day with a goal to double that in 3 to 6 months. And to answer your second question, I would dedicate 15 hrs a week initially.

  • My most successful businesses I started with less than $1,000. Especially when you're dealing with online businesses it really doesn't take that much money to get to the first revenue. Then you can spend money that you are earning rather than spending money from your savings. I'm starting one right now where my investment will be less than $100 and I'm already pretty close to $100 per week coming in. In about a year it will be a few thousand per month. I would avoid some of the hype you see around here. when you have a good idea you'll know. you'll see it so clearly that you really don't need someone else to tell you how to do it. Main thing you need to do is keep looking and researching until you find the right idea.
  • With that much money, I would just buy a pre-existing website that's already making steady passive income.

    • I don't want to put all eggs in one basket.
  • If you have that kind of money to spend then follow this approach here:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post9876010

Build up your foundation so that everything is automated. You can outsource it all. Then simply hire out some folks that are good with facebook traffic generation and you've got that passive income.

By setting up everything so that it's all basically automated you can set up traffic generation then go do whatever you want and just let your system run.

If you don't know the answer to this question. That tells me you have not put in enough time in researching and educating yourself on what is out there in the internet business space. If I were you. I would spend 6+ months in investing time in free marketing training.
As well is "low cost" paid education solutions.

This will tell you what you want to do.
I strongly feel that no one can give you the answer to that question but yourself.

  • This is where I started out at over 7 years ago. It is a decent place to begin. Although, I would not solely concentrate on it.

It is just one small source of residual income but should NOT be the backbone of your business.

Here is an excellent place to get more knowledge about it

  • I think and this just my idea , invest your money off-line better , Online you may waste your money without any success

    Good Luck Bro ,
  • Put it in the bank and read - there's enough free info that you don't need to throw your money away! Take up meditating
  • I don't know what you can do without at least some talents (even if that talent is effective outsourcing) but since you've got $25k to invest, there will surely be someone to teach you what - for a price that is.

Invest in your education. The ROI is slow but it is superior to anything else.

  • I believe, the good start will be finding a mentor or coach

  • It seems you may be looking for a cookie cutter solution here that you can more or less buy for $25k. If so, I would suggest learning about buying sites that are already monetized, you can get them for about 8-12 times monthly earnings so if you do decent due diligence you will be in profit before a year and can sell the site for the same (or more) that you paid for it.

    • With 25k.

      1. Spend a few bucks and buy a bunch of WSO's on building a list.

      2. Scan them and get some ideas.

      3. Hire a experienced VA in traffic generation/list building to help implement.

      4. Build the list.

      5. Promote daily only to offers that have CONTINUITY.

Just keep repeating 4 and 5, getting that list bigger and bigger and the income will start flowing.

      Period.

Stock Market - You can't make jack with 25k unless you are really skilled day trader.
Amazon FBA - Can be very competitive. ALOT OF WORK. Certainly not passive. Your holding inventory that can easily depreciate due to auto pricers that can drive the price down pretty quickly.
Adsense - Not bad, again your at Google's mercy.
Ebay - Equals pain the the rear. ALOT OF WORK. Even more then FBA in my opinion.

There is a reason LIST BUILDING remains one of the most popular topics here on WF. Because it is SIMPLE and it WORKS!

  • If you are asking on a forum how to invest $25,000 in businesses that you know very little about then you are probably going to end up losing most of it. Either hire yourself a coach (there are plenty of guru's with $5000 to $10000 coaching programs where they will make you a lot of money or use it to buy real estate or something else that is more secure. It is very easy for you to throw away $25k experimenting and testing and then realize you have nothing left.

Discover how to make money without spending any money online. Yes it can be done! If there are 5 ways to buy real estate without using any money, then you can definitely use similar no money down strategies to make money online.

You normally are told you have to spend money to make money. If you investing $25,000.00 then you should be making atleast a $2,5Million return on your investment
  • Of course the $25000 is a handsome amount of money. There are many kinds of business. You can do any business which you choose. Here I would like to suggest you, please never do that kinds of business, where you have no idea. You must have a clear & good idea where you are going to invest. Thanks

This is what i did myself before i started making good money online.

    Hope that helps
  • Investing $25000 without having any experience in IM is not a good idea. Go with one business model at a time like others have mentioned here.

I recommend you build amazon and adsense authority sites and make them earn a reliable income month after month.

Once you see the cash flow, you will know which direction you must move. If you need any info regarding niche websites, PM me, I will be happy to help.

  • Something unrelated to my interests and merely based on some of the comments here ...

For all the fiverr gurus here, how difficult is it to get into the SEO niche on fiverr? And by SEO I only mean providing SEO reports not the actual on/off page optimization.
  • Sorry, I didn't read all the post but wanted to give you what my thoughts are.

Personally I would not start a $25,000 business. Because most businesses fail so that would be a way to waste your money, and be left with no more capital to try other business models.

Start small. Start something you can initially do your self, or outsource very cheaply. No more than $500 to $1000. Heck I am sure you can do it for even less than that but let's stick to those figures.

Once you see it has given you a return, that's when you scale up, and then you can gradually hire people to take you out of the equation as much as possible. But first you must experience that small success in order to scale it up.

Think about Apple. They started in a garage with very little resources. They didn't have $25,000 to spend, and if they did I guarantee they didn't use that in their initial start. They started very small. With only 1 computer. Once they experience small success they scaled up. And look at them now.

Start small, and scale up. If something doesn't work move on. And do the same, and eventually you'll hit something you can scale up to.
