Would someone pay $20 a month for tips?

Hello Warriors,

I found a site (which wont be named) that gives small bite sized steps, tips and tricks in the internet marketing niche. The site asks for $20 a month and they give some examples and they look like valuable tips. It seems almost like a blog post, but through an email newsletter that costs money.

My question is, would it be worth it to pay $20 a month for tips? Does anyone here pay for that, or would pay for something like that? Should I just walk the other way and get free stuff from blogs?

If so, what should I look for when trying to buy something like this?

Thanks for your time!

  • You can find all the information on blogs for free.

People just think that if they 'Pay' for information, it is legitimate. The information they acquire for free, despite being better, would always be underlooked.
  • Yes, if the information that they give is valuable to me.

There is a newsletter about email marketing that is $ 97.00 a month. It is printed (no pdf) and shipped to your address.

Check who is behind the site. Are there a known individual in that niche? Check others whether they know this people or not.

    Do your due diligence.
  • If I'm learning something new, hell yea. Do both free knowledge and the monthly newsletter, and just drop it, if you're learning the same material.
  • If you are a beginner in this field it will be of great value for you as it will cut off much time and effort for you searching for such information. But if you have some experience, you can get it with less effort and time as at least you know where to go to get such info.
  • As long as you gain from the information YES always invest in YOURSELF!
  • You could probably learn just as many tips on your own by searching around for free. Someone may think some information is valuable when someone else thinks it is common knowledge for the internet. Go to your local library and reada book for free on the topic that is essentially the same thing.

    • Yes, you can probably find the info free - but might also time by accessing info someone else took the time to put together in a usable form. I'm not sure how useful unrelated "tips" would be but you have to judge that yourself.

BUT - I would only buy IM info from someone I KNOW has been successful over time in his own right. IN the MMO niche there are countless blogs of "how to get started" published by people trying to figure out how to get started. There are a lot of "how to make money" products being sold by those who haven't made enough to buy groceries.
  • Hi C,

Doing more research on the information provider will glean details.

Like, do they know their stuff? If they're a trusted authority, yes, it's likely worth it, especially if the information is packaged in a helpful way.

Sure you can find the information for free too, but how many months and years may that take? Quite a few.

On the flip side, read more on this forum, to get a feel for what's out there. If this content - the $20 a month deal - seems thin compared to free content on Warrior it may be time to cancel your subscription.

  • If the information that you get is from someone who is making $10,000-$100,000 per month and is teaching you his/her ways and techniques, then I think that it is totally worth it.

    • Most of the time these people making this much money is all they do. Some people are not willing to give that type of commitment to something that may or may not work out for them, The time commitment is something that is important to ensure you have before you pay for something that you think you may want to learn about.
  • Only one way to find out for sure.
  • Digital Marketer charges

    Per month.

Customers will pay if they like your product or service.

They have a $1 trial offer people can use.

Mostly DM has a list of tips to help sales increase.

It is similar to udemy if you know what that is - courses.

For example, one on LPO - landing page optimization.
  • Yes of course people would pay that amount (and more) just as long as the tips are worth it. People will pay for what they see 'value' in.

Their are some clubs that charge thousands of dollars per year and their are people who pay it. But get this...

The people who are willing to pay for the bigger ticket services (assuming that the tips are worth it), are people who 'already' make a lot of money.
