1 time reports or email series

I've developed an ebook to get subscibers when I had a though: Is it better to give all the info at once (an awesome ebook), or is it better to give it a little at a time (2 weeks worth of daily emails)

The main pros I can think of are that people are probably more likely to download the ebookas oppose to signing up for a bunch if tips
vs
Having a lot of emails 'trains' subscribers to open the emails, leading them be more likely to open my sales emails

What other pros and cons are there, what would you do?

    Frumweb,

I don't know that there is a simple answer to your question.

You have to remember that only a small portion of free eBooks actually ever get read after they are downloaded. People file them away in a folder somewhere to read later and then forget about them.

What you might do is try both methods simultaneously and see which one gives you a better result. Certainly the eBook approach is easier for you. But if you can make your emails high quality and something that has a lot of value for the customer, that may be the more effective way to divide up your content.

It's usually hard to guess accurately about marketing methods - it's much better to test, track results, then optimize whatever works best.

    The best to you,

I would probably use the ebook as an "incentive" to sign up to a list, then keep blasting them with emails

Either you send me the whole e-book at once or send it to me in installment, if I'm the customer, my question would be - "Why do I need to sign up?"

I guess it doesn't matter if you send the whole e-book or send it in installment or don't send it at all! And I'm sure you're sending this via email and your main purpose is to have them signed up. You are right, consumers got easily annoyed receiving lot's of not so relevant mail.

So what you should do is to develop an email message with a persuasive, powerful and compelling content! Send it your audience. Let your email message command them in signing up and downloading your e-book!

I agree with ChrisBa, use your eBook to get them sign up and start sending them email the next day.

If you do not send them email, they will forget about you very fast, since we do not know how many sign-up that they already have.

It would depend on your niche and the content you are providing.

Can you justify making your subscribers wait to get their information?

For example, if its say, a video training where they'll have to do something every day, that'll keep them occupied.

You don't want your subscribers to get pissed off and lose interest in you. In my opinion, it's better if you test our both methods and see which one works the best for you.

    Hey frumweb,
I tend to think you will 'qualify' your leads better by giving small amounts in digestible forms.

A lot of people will just download an e book and be on their merry way.

But with tips/course you tend to weed out these people. And get more serious minded ones

Distil you're book down to a series of 7 actionable points. No more that 2 or 3 pages.
This way it will get read.. People prefer quick and easy info.

Next offer the full report as a $7 tripwire.. Then send them an engagement series..but split it between buyers and non buyers.

Buyers get higher level content .. Non buyers get quality content that promotes your report
