Hi!
I opened a bing ads account for the first time, set up a campaign that was a direct link to a loan CPL offer. When i logged out of bing and tried to log back in, i was banned. Basically i got banned from bing 10 minutes after signing up and i didnt really do anything wrong. Does this happen to a lot of people?

Also, how do i open a new bing account? Do i need a new credit card, new ip, new comp, etc??

Thanks!

I have done direct linking with my Big account many times. I have not heard of immediate bans such as yours before. My best suggestion it to contact Bing and speak to them. Only they can answer your questions.

Something similar happened to me once many years ago. My issue turned out to be some minor clerical matter. If I remember my credit card had my middle initial and I had not entered that on my Bing account. I know others that were temporarily denied accounts until every single piece of data matched their credit card information perfectly. Customer service should be able to help you.

Edit: I just saw your post that you already contacted them. You might try again and get to the billing department.

Im not sure if thats my problem. This is the email they sent me when i asked for the reason

"Thank you for providing additional information.

The payment method on file was not authorized by the account owner.

This definately appears to be an account / credit card related matter. They probably do not want to offer much information because of CC security issues. Try setting up a new account perhaps with a different CC.

I expect there was nothing at all wrong with your ads at all.

I do not use Bing Ads, I use Adsense, and I am sure the TOS is similar. And, I would bet it has something to do with you direct linking to the offer from your ad. I would read their terms of service and see if that is the reason.

Why not use adsense, or are you banned from them as well??

I am not sure how that will work or not. As long as the card is valid it should work..... I think ??

Lately there have been a proliferation of wso's and such that promote direct linking offers on bing. There may be a backlash. Also some are advocating setting up new accts just to get coupons.

It could have been an unauthorized access as listed as a possibility in the Bing email. I had a Bing account for years with a lot of money going through it. One day I can't log in, talk to a customer rep who says there appears to be unauthorized access attempts. I provide proof of my identity and the account is closed instead of simply changing the log in.

    It was monumentally idiotic.

I turned right around and opened a new account. Huge pain in the butt recreating campaigns but there hasn't been a problem since. No different computer, IP, ID, or anything like that.

I agree with what you said. And i tried to open a new account already with the same details. Closed again this time probably because i had an account closed before!

It could be they want to verify your account payment details. It also could be the promotion you are doing, if a lot of people are doing direct links people might report you. You could be bidding on trademarked keywords (who knows)

I called them when i got banned and had to verify a whole lot of details. Im pretty sure it went well or maybe it didnt and they just said "ok".... I didnt use any trademark keywords and no one could've reported me. The campaign didnt go up although the status was live.

Contact bing and see what the reason behind it was. Creating a new bing account is easy. Just re-register and use it. Maybe consider using a dot.tk instead of a direct link?
