Necessary to become a War Room Member?

Hey WF,
I've been on this website for a long time as a lurker.
However, I made an account a bit back and never thought about actually becoming seller here. But things have changed on my end and I'm looking to expand my business.
So, I wanted to create a thread in the reciprocal links section, but alas, I couldn't because I didn't pay the $97/yr to join the War Room.
Honestly, I haven't a clue what that really means or if it is necessary.
Can someone steer me in the right direction?
I would just like to make a thread and offer my services to you all.
Thank you very much for your assistance!

If you're serious and want to advertise, then the War Room membership is a must.
You will get more than your money's worth by joining but only you can decide if you want to do that.

In my honest opinion yes, you can easily recoup your investment using the features that will be enabled. I'm a WAR Room member for quite sometime now and I never regret it!

I really do not think it is worth the $97.00 per year. I joined when it was $20.00 or $30.00 for lifetime membership so it was no big deal. It is mostly a depository for WSO's that have run their course.

Like I have mentioned in other posts, if the owners would add some sub forums for actual discussions then I would say..Yes. but as it is now, it is not worth it

When I created my account I was offered a War Room membership for $50, but declined.
I'm leaning more towards your end simply because I don't feel it right to need to spend $100 to promote my services here. I get the concept and respect it. But I'm not looking to make my living off this website.
But maybe down the line I will change my mind. Perhaps one day WF will have a discount on their membership and I'll snag it then.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I am a war room member and don't see the value at $97 per year either. Other than being able to do a WSO, but the actual content is not worth $97 a year in my opnion. I only paid $37 for life , so it wasn't too much

Those Bros are not giving back, they are trying to get a email signup on the backend.

Necessary? No. Useful? Definitely. Worth $97 a year? Probably not. Worth the $20 for lifetime membership I paid? For sure!

Consuming food, expelling waste, and breathing oxygen are necessary. Everything else is optional.

I thought about joining the war room for a while and probably should have when it was a lifetime membership. I wouldn't even consider it now that it's a yearly fee. I've been pretty successful doing what I do and I can continue doing and scaling without the war room.

As far as what's necessary in business, I would recommend taking the time to read, understand, and devise a plan to achieve your goals. A lot of people seem to start websites because it's fairly easy and then don't know what to do or where to go to generate revenue. The unaimed arrow never misses, I guess.

If you want to get started marketing to the IM niche then WSO's are a good way to go.... meaning you would need to become a War Room member.

Otherwise, I've found all the essential information you need can be found for free by closely watching and reading the marketing guru's sales videos, sales pages and email promotions. The key is to observe what methods and strategies they're actually using to sell stuff.... not necessarily what they are recommending that you buy.

Hey TygraOlympia, I'm sure many others after you who want to sell their products and services to the members will be doubtful about becoming a war room member just to list a wso then go back to working on something else instead because they wasn't aware of the NEW WSO RULES that were posted last year.

Just going to the wso section i was able to find a couple sellers who aren't war room members but have listed their wsos according to the new rules.

So to answer your question no it's not necessary for what you're trying to accomplish. Good luck!

It's not necessary, but you will still learn some good stuff on there. If you're a "pro", or have been doing online marketing for years - but still aren't making money... then the War Room probably isn't for you.

But if you're a newbie, you can learn alot of great things there for free. And yes, even in the form of a free WSO.

It was definitely worth it when Alan Says owned the forum because you had access to his Idea', plans and more. For more of that it would be worth the 97 a year. I got in several years ago, paid a lot less and found some gems in the war room.

TheWF forum lost a lot when they had to remove Alan's idea's plans and strategies.

Of course if you want to offer your services you need to make that investment.

It's well worth the money, it's not necessary but worth the investment.
