Creating your first product & launching it??

Product Creation can be tough... Good News!

I have recently come across a great way to create all the products you need for successful product launches & funnels..

I love this forum, and want to share this here.

1. Create the core product (More then $49)

E.g. If your in the fitness niche, then you share about all topics of fitness with e.g. 30 videos, 3 100 page reports, etc

2. Break off sections (2-3)
off that core product e.g. 3 videos about diet ''inside fitness'' and sell it as a tripwire ($5 - $10)

3. Break off parts of the tripwires
And create lead magnets e.g Got a 100 page report ($7)
Give 30 pages a a lead magnet etc

Then use this product funnel:

Lead Magnet > Tripwire > Core Product > More Upsells

Hope this helps

  • That's product creation 101 in a nutshell.

I find that some internet marketers say it's better to launch promote a $100 front end product to recover advertising costs with each sale.

How do you feel about doing a product launch for a sales funnel with a $100 front end product,
since you say in your product launch formula you so kindly shared above with us all on the forum.

    E.g. Lead Magnet > $100 Tripwire > $297 Core Product > $1000 to $5000 Upsells

Do you think a product funnel like this one above could work also?

Absolutely that is a possible funnel.

I mean on average expect the $100 tripwire to convert at 1% while a $10 tripwire could convert at 10% (mine does) they both end up with $100 revenue.

But, then the $10 tripwire has more buyers but the $100 tripwire has a buyer who is immediately willing to spend more money.

Both have pros and cons and I think I will test a funnel like yours above one day to see which comes up on top.

      My current funnel is:

      Lead Magnet> $10 Trip> $47 Core> $97 cross-sell> $997 high ticket

The best thing you can do is put yourself out there.

        The $100 tripwire works, however..

I prefer to have more 'buyers' Like explained above.

        Thanks for the posts.

Either way works, and both get great results

What is the best route to take if you want to turn that core product into a monthly membership site, after you've seen success with the upsells?

I've actually never heard the phrase 'Tripwire' before in IM. I'm somewhat intrigued and wonder if that's what other people did to get me in the door to buy their more expensive information products??

Yes. Not just I.M. does this. If you ever downloaded a free ebook, bought a $7 product, etc. then bought an upsell...well, you've been "tripwired".

A handful of years ago they called it "moving the free line", but it is the same principle - except the "tripwire" was high quality free info/product.

At the end of the day though, if you don't produce quality products - no matter how much you sell them for - if they are not quality products, you'll only get that one tripwire/upsell chance.
