A realistic "starting" sales goal

Hi there,

Very soon finished with my product bundle, where a thick high quality ebook is the main part and also the first product in my funnel.

What would a realistic sales goal be from the beginning? E.g. how difficult will it be to generate enough traffic to make, let's say, one sale per day?

Thanks,
J.

You might be better off not trying to sell your "thick" ebook (main product) at the very beginning. You might want to offer something free or low cost to qualify your prospects before you hit them with your main product sales offering.

Are you building a list of subscribers?

Just as steve mentioned, It's better if you create another e-book normally around 10 - 15 pages long the pre-sells your main offer.

Here's how it should look like.

Landing Page (Offering a FREE E-Book) in exchange for email
Once someone optins to the landing page it will be redirected to the sales page of the main e-book.
Then at the same time the autoresponder should send the download link of the free-book

Landing Page --> Offer --> Email Sequence - > Download PAge

Steve, yes that I do. I have a free give away light version to gather permission...all that is under control.

Why not set the goal of 10 sales per day? The mind is a powerful thing. It has a way of putting in the right amount of effort for whatever goal you set.

If you set a goal (for example) of 1 sale per week, then on another project you set a goal of 50 sales a day... you can see how the actions you would take daily would be drastically different.

Always remember people have done great things with less.

Who cares about "realistic" goals. I'm sure you can think of a few times in your life you set unreasonable (by someone's normal standard) goals... and succeeded.

    This can be that time!

There is a quote that says

"I would rather expect a lot and only get half of it than to expect nothing and get all of it"

Don't try to limit your goal because of what is "reasonable". If 10 sales a day is what you are really shooting for... then that is the goal.

Make a plan that aligns with that and you will hit. I promise you

Don't forget the numbers as well.

    Let's go backwards

If you're sales page is converting at 5%( probably less or more depending on the traffic source)

If you want to get 10 sales per day you'll need to acquire

    200 leads per day

then if your landing page converts at 50%

then you'll need 400 visitors on your landing page daily for that to happen.

If you decide to go on a paid route on the Internet Marketing / Bizops niche you got a few options

Solo Ads = 100 Clicks / $45 an average or .45 per click

So if you do the math to get into 400 clicks you'll need to pay $180 per day to get to 10 Sales, I hope your product will be able cover up the expense. (if your sales page converts at 5%)

Facebook averages around $1 - $5 a lead to acquire but it tends to convert better.

It's absolutely a realistic sales goal!

If you have the blueprint to get from where you are to where you want to go you can achieve anything.

The only question you need the answer to is, "what do I do next to get from where I am to where I want to go?".

If you have that answer success becomes easy.

Someone else has done it, that means so can you!

How you market your book is WAY more important than its size.

For example, "weight loss" and "six pack abs" could be the same book, size, and content, but just changing that ONE element (among hundreds) will skyrocket your sales.
