Please HELP with my Email Marketing and List Building !! I am about to give up on it.........

Yeah I am just about ready to go crazy with this. I started email marketing with an Auto responder at GR in Nov.08 !!
I created a pretty nice 20 follow up message funnel for work at home opportunites. All this time I thought everything was fine and I tried testing yesterday and everything is going to Yahoo Spam. Gmail and Hotmail are fine.

Actually, this was the day before yesterday . And I put a hold on this work at home funnel problem to focus in the last day or so on my health and fitness funnel I am building. Well, I have about 8 follow up messages created and I can only get about 3 to go to correct yahoo inbox when I test. The rest go to Yahoo Spam.

I have spent 4 hourse taking out and changing different words in Subject and Body but have had NO luck. One of my follow up messages looks just like another one that goes thru fine. But for some reason this Follow up keeps going to Yahoo spam when I test it.
So for kicks I even deleted the whole body and just put Hello in the Subject and Hello in the Body.
Thats it and wouldnt you know it still went to Yahoo Spam !!
That is crazy. Right ??

Any help or suggestions would be apprecuated. I am seriously about to give up on this Email Marketing. I cannot keep spinning my wheels like this !!

P.S. Also what sux is that GR puts a limit on 50 Tests for all Campaigns in a day.

What's your domain name? If it's something like whatever@makelotsofmoneyonline.com this will trigger spam filters. If you do have a spammy sounding domain name maybe just use gmail as the sent email address.

Don't give up on building a list...

Just ask your leads to white list your email before they optin

Yes that is such an easy thing that is often passed up by many and can lead to this sort of thing. Another thing is what email program are you using? I stick with interspire and that works great I get a high inbox rate on optins.

There's not a lot you can do about this. It's not Get Response or your ISP. It's Yahoo. The only thing you can do is tell your subscribers on the opt-in page that they need to 1) check their spam folders and 2) add your e-mail address to their contact/white lists.

Beyond that, there's not a lot you can do. I would do what you can and not sweat the rest. Many, many people use other services for e-mail, including their own sites.

    I hope I don't seem mean here...

But why are you building a list in a bunch of different niches? Less is definitely more in this business. If you focus on the 20% of things that bring 80% of your results and outsource/eliminate the rest then I think you'll be fine

    Don't overcomplicate things.

Every day you should be building your list, increasing traffic, and selling more product.

You do the first by list swapping/improving your squeeze page.

You do the 2nd by focusing on high number traffic (quality ezines, PPC, and swapping...big number stuff takes about the same time as submitting 10 articles...the former stuff gets much more results).

Lastly, you do the 3rd by split testing subject lines for open rates, split testing content for click through rate, and keep doing the best stuff.

If you do these 3 things each week, then slowly but surely you're income will increase and then a funny thing happens.

It goes exponential. You'll build your list at 5 people per day then it'll go to 10 people per day and soon enough, you'll have a pretty good size list which will bring the bigger partners out.

Don't sweat the little things like you are...focus on your niche and really dominate it no matter what it is. You don't have to be #1 in it...but imagine if you were in the the top 10 of income producing marketers in the health niche or the IM niche?

    Cheers,

Yeah I do agree Yahoo sucks.. You can try Aweber where I do find their service is more reliable than GR .

Nice, thanks for all the replies. Yeah, I might just go over to Aweber for a month to test drive. We will see.

But I think like people have said and that is Yahoo is really, really tough.
Putting 'check your Yahoo email spam bin ' on the Capture Page is probably my best route.

      Thanks, Nightengale !!

P.S. Brad, I understand what you are saying but I respectfully but adamantly disagree. One of the things you say is the reason I can have multiple Niches, and that is ousourcing which is what I do extensively. To me diversifying with Niches is not only Prudent but in the Long run it is a very wise 'vitual real estate' investment.

Everyone has the problem, you can't fix it. You need to stop wasting time testing this over and over, and just get on with building your list.

Be sure in your thank you pages to encourage your new opt ins to white list your email address for your newsletter.

Focus on building your list, not testing over and over what you can't fix.

Absolutely 100% agree with Wayne on this one... You just have to move forward and forget about the things you cannot control.

Yeah,if the same result happen for a lot of test you made then it's time to change.Research and try new tactics instead of keeping the original problem.
