I love gaming and I really want to work within this niche.

How should I go about getting started?

    Gaming apps for mobile devices are always hot. Not easy to program (IMO), but hot nonetheless. If you're not comfortable with strict app development, try the HTML5 approach.

    Its very competitive but not impossible. I would make a gaming review site and focus on making a high quality review 6 months before a game is out. Try to get review copies early or just get as much info about the game as you can and make a post and video about it. Then syndicate these to all your social networks.

    You could also make a gaming forum for specific games.

      The gaming niche is incredibly competitive. To be successful in the niche, you need to offer something different and better than your competitors. I know that's a lot easier said than done.


      Study what your successful competitors are doing and then try and do it better.

    You can always go on Clickbank to see if there are products that you are interested in partnering up with.

    Before you start promoting, you do want to get your own website so that you can tell people how passionate you really are about curtain games and then send them to click on a link which can go to the vendor that your partnered up with.

    You might want to start a Youtube channel. These channels are quite popular. I'm not THAT into gaming (know lots of people who are), but I follow this one guy named Modern War Negro. His channel has grown incredibly quickly. He's only been doing it since Feb. of 2012 and already has more than 500k subscribers!

    You could also start a blog -- embedding the videos on said blog. Come up with a unique name and brand yourself across all of the social networks. Once you get enough followers, you could also use Tee Spring or something similar to promote shirts with popular sayings on them and make use of other sites like Twitch or whatever it's called as well.
