Why I love certain info products more than others...

I love certain info products more than others after purchase because of one basic thing.

They tell a story I am interested in.

Its fine to put in all technical details and show how something is done, but if you have stories of people that did it my interest level is kept.

When a techique is followed by a story of some poor sap on his last dime and living in a car putting it to use and making millions, that is interesting. Its interesting because of the story and because I picture myself doing it too.

I would venture to guess that products with lots of good stories in them have more "stick" and get less refunds.

That is precisely what I do in the introduction/words from the author section, it's also all true as well, some people are able to pick up on stuff that is not genuine, that is why I keep it as genuine as possible.

And yes, it helps with refunds, so far I have a 0.3% refund rate and I'm using Clickbank! It is good because it humanizes the product.

That is a great refund rate on ClickBank as I understand it.

Yes, but of course there are many factors to lower refunds besides the 'humanization' of the product, such as quality of the product, customer support, guarantees etc etc

But your post is a VERY important point to take into consideration Scott.

I just advice not to exploit this because I can now see people making up stories, that is not the idea, some people will see right through a made up story as opposed to a genuine true story.
