Is being #1 good enough?

We, Knowledge NoteBook, is #1 student study software ranked by Google.

This product is for students, college and middle/high school students. It gives them specific tools to make their study more effective, resulting in better grades. Can we back it up? Yes, more on that soon...
So, you would think millions of students would swamp our website
( Home | Knowledge NoteBook, LLC ). Truth is no or not yet. Why not?
a) Many of them have never heard of us;
b) Most of them search for rudimentary terms such as note-taking or study guide (so, keyword-based SEO does not really help us much).

My question is, would parents (many of you are probably) be a right target for this new category defining product because they tend to be more thoughtful and they want their kids to succeed in school (so they may buy it and give it to their kids, besides it's only 5 bucks) ?

And let me admit, our marketing materials are weak. For instance, we don't have superlative videos to demonstrate our product yet.

Your thoughts? Experience software affiliates could help?

    Wow! Sounds like you have to get a little more aggressive with your marketing (or partner with someone who can). By your own admission you're starting kind of weak (wimpy) out of the gate for someone in such a competitive market.

    Admitting you have weak marketing materials, no demonstration videos on a product no one has heard of is an uphill battle. My only surprise is you seem surprised you have no orders.

    Of course you can market to parents in addition to students, but you have a bigger problem than that. You've got to execute a more aggressive marketing plan or you're toast ... no matter how good your product is or who you market to.

    You're in a market where you have to go hard ... or go home. No half-stepping or wimpy marketing allowed.

    I think it would make sense to get it done as an app too. Then I bet with some strategic targeting you can get some sales through Facebook (ex. parents with kids in semi-wealthy neighborhoods)

    From your post, and the website, it seems like English is not your native language, is that correct?

    The very first line I read on your website says - "It makes study more effective and saves time!"

    That phrase makes me think unprofessional or non native speaking. Either way, it does not inspire trust. You could word it a couple different ways, depending on how you want to engage your prospects.

    You could go with phrases, such as -
    "Increases study effectiveness"
    "Study efficiently and save time"
