Dating/Relationship Coaching

So I'm fairly new to affiliate marketing and I have been going through all of the training videos at Affilorama.

I just wanted to ask other members on here what there outlook is on the dating/relationship niche. I'm thinking of creating a "Wingman" website and promoting dating/relationship products on clickbank. I'm just wondering if this is still considered a "Profitable" niche.

My idea is to create a website build my list by having a squeeze page and offering a few video tutorials on some common issues a lot of men have when it comes to relationships/dating and women in exchange for emails so I can send my newsletter out to them and build a list. I'm pretty good in this department so I think my insight would be valuable to a lot of people. Then within the site itself doing some reviews on various products on click bank in the dating relationship sub category.

I'm also thinking maybe I could upsell and do personal coaching with certain people?

I've been in and out of relationships in my own life and never had problems with the ladies, so I have a passion for this and I help my friends all the time with women when we go out and with relationship advice with their girlfriends/wives. So I think people would really value my insight and what I have to say on this topic.

Just looking for any opinions on this idea and what everyone thinks about this idea/niche?

    Start a blog.

If you have the magic powers you claim, people will spread the word for you.

      Brent,

I am on blue host right now just trying to think of a solid domain name. Do you think if I made a website with a landing page for building a list and various different sub pages for reviews and a blog all in one that it would be too much on one domain? Or should I just solely make it a one page blog with a landing page?

Also, what do you think would be the easiest way to get traffic on a site like this? Where would you start? I appreciate your insight!

I'll try to give you a little more constructive help, mkersen.

What I'll start off by doing is giving you the bad news. Hopefully, though, it'll give you enough pause for thought to potentially save you months of wasted time and expenditure. Super affiliates like myself have been pushing volume traffic to the problem-solving relationship sub-market for years; over a decade, over two. How does this translate? It means, unless you have deep pockets or you're as clever as we are at PPC, then PPC is pretty much not an option; not if you're hoping to make less than chicken feed; prices are too high, and we understand how to optimize our EPCs like you wouldn't believe. Then what about SEO? Try to rank for most keywords and you'll hit a similar brick wall. It's tied up. Tightly. There's a lot more bad news, but I'll skip over the obvious, and finish with perhaps the less so. Surfers (target demographic) have been hammered for 2 decades in this market. That doesn't mean you can't earn, new entrants arrive for one, but overall it means you need to be pretty good (I'm understating) at selling. Whether that means selling a product, a service, whatever.

The good news. There is money to be made, and there are ways for a newbie to carve out a slice of the money pie.

    Here's what you do:

    1. Learn everything you can about the market.
    2. Find a relatively unique angle.
    3. Throw some money into a decent web design.
    4. Save some money for PPC and media buys.
    5. Develop a strong social media presence.
    6. Grow the list, grow the followers, grow the traffic.
    7. Keep an eye on CPA offers. Some will start out great and then your EPC will fall. When this happens on quality traffic, that you know is upgrading well, you're being unduly shaved. Time to swap out the offer for another until you find a steady EPC. Repeat that for every offer you ever promote. A lot of shaving goes on in dating and relationships.

    Best of luck!

    Tom

^ That's true, there is a huge competition you'll have to deal with, there are already so many experts in dating and relationships. Starting a blog might be a good idea, have you also thought about writing a book? You could share your knowledge for profit this way too.

It's one of the most profitable niches there is, so if you're into it, go for it.

If I were you, I'd study LIFE COACHING websites that focus on relationships.

You'll see that many of them use an 'industry standard' theme. This is not an accident. There's a reason why most of them use a particular design.

You might want to get a professional services site designed and start a blog.

Contribute content, get interviewed, produce videos, and publish case studies.

You don't need to wonder about profit potential about this niche. Surely it is a very profitable niche when you approach and work in it properly.

If you already have a passion for this niche and you are confident about providing value to people in this niche then you are not that new to the niche as well as to affiliate marketing.

Stick to one business model initially. Preferably list building and email marketing. There are different sub niches in this niche. So you can build multiple lists in this niche by building list for each sub niche.

Then you can always make profit from your list/s by providing value in terms of your knowledge and different products referred intermittently.

Coaching is entirely different model and you need to properly plan for it before you start. You may do that by emails as well with paid subscription style.

The "PUA" and "Seduction" markets are saturated with competition. With that being said, there's a HUGE market for this kind of stuff. Find your own unique "niche" (approach pickup for a different angle, use your own lingo, etc.) and you'll develop a following. Good luck!
