Cheap/Free Domain & Hosting Options

Hi there.

I want to test several physical products pre-launch. I want to set up sales pages and pre-launch opt-ins on these sites. However, as I want to test a few, I was wondering if there is a more economical way of doing this i.e. not signing up for (for example) eight hosting packages for eight different test sites.

Perhaps I could buy the domains for $8 each or whatever, but use free hosting? And if that sounds good, which free hosts are reliable? I tried 000webhost before but their uptime seemed terrible; seemed like they were down for maintenance every other day.

Thanks!

It is one of the best and offer

    15GB Hosting Space
    Web Editor (no coding)
    WordPress
    Unlimited transfer
    Unlimited email accounts
    Domain (fee applies)

They charge just 1.5 euro per month. Best part in some countries (like germany) you do not have to pay anything for one year (free hosting and domain name for one year)

Do not use 000webhost . You will just waste your time. Do not even buy their paid service. That is even worst with worst customer service

Hosting is cheap. Never use a free one. Just get yourself a cheap virtual account. Cost you a few bucks a month. As far as domains go: get JoinHoney extension or search for coupon codes. You can grab those domains for as little as 99 cents from Godaddy.

    Hey Mega,
I used free hosting my first couple of years in IM, and it was a mistake.

Fork over the $10 a month, and be serious with your business.

In the long run, you will be glad you did as you will have so much more control

Buy Godaddy domain with coupon code, you can get them at $0.99 with some coupons. I think their hosting is cheap too, probably less than $2 per month. Namecheap hosting is better, less than $10 per year. It's well worth it. I tried free hosting before and there will always be some restriction. For example, some of them display ads, don't have Mysql, etc. So, i would rather buy cheap hosting than free hosting.

I strongly recommend staying away from going the cheap route, normally that's the worst path to go down. With a basic hosting account you should be able to host all of your domains on the 1 account.

I hope you realize that you don't need one hosting account for each domain you own.

You can get good free hosting at OpenShift.
