Using other popular sites to make money

So I thought of an idea.

Videos are becoming an increasingly popular platform to deliver/consume information.

There's so much valuable and free information online, sometimes there's so much that people are overwhelmed.

What if there was a website that categorized how-to videos focusing only on free education (and of course pointing to youtube videos). Let's just call it "youtube free community college" or something.

Do you think it could work?

Or you could call it Khan Academy.

I doubt it, based solely on the fact, I sifted through 10 videos to find 1 quality video concerning something as popular as setting up an Amazon AWS S3 account and delivering secure downloads. It took me 6 hours, and truth is, most of what I did without the video was right, but in second guessing... searched for a video, which led to an all day event watching a bunch of crap people post on YouTube!

Seriously, you'd be better to find and promote existing training sites like Udemy or a JVZoo or ClickBank product.

I'm not trying to discourage you from building an entire training library using free YouTube videos, but I would bet you'd spend more time than it was worth in the long run.

Plus, with Udemy running special offers for $15 - $19 with some exceptional training courses, I'd say you'd be reinventing a wheel that won't help your 'bank' roll.

There are scripts that enable you to do this.

I saw one a few years back where you enter a keyword or set of keywords and it will retrieve a TON of youtube videos that are tagged with that keyword.

You make some settings decisions and at the end of the process, you get a highly targeted video site.

For video marketing on youtube, make sure to write good descriptions for your videos that contain keywords and include a link to your blog/site. Some people have done very well with youtube.
