Is it okay for me to use collage other people videos for mine on my youtube channel? I will be doing tech promotion with my voice talking in the video, but a montage of other videos in mine for that specific item. Thanks in advance!

You should only use other people's videos or parts of them with their permission. If you don't have their permission, create your own original content instead.

Technically there are some free videos you can use on YouTube titled "Creative Commons Attribution license (reuse allowed)"

But I noticed alot of times, some of those videos are clearly copyright violations. So it's use at your own risk.

On YouTube you search keyword, creativecommons example: dogs, creativecommons
    good luck

This is a good point...Just because a video is listed as Creative Commons doesn't mean the person that uploaded the video owns the copyrights to the video. I've seen plenty of videos listed as Creative Commons that were obviously downloaded by someone, then re-uploaded, such as TV shows.

Check the channel and see if it's the same person in all the videos is one way to help ensure the channel owner actually owns the videos.

BE CAREFUL ABOUT USING CREATIVE COMMONS MATERIALS...

If you're going to use them for non-commercial purposes, that's fine.

However, if you're going to make derivative works or use them to sell stuff, make sure you get permission.

There's a number of different Creative Commons licenses. The relevant one is the one people on YT that people agree to. Not only does the one YT uses allow for commercial use, YT even allows you to use their monetization on the videos. YT even automatically adds attribution links for you in the videos' descriptions when using CC videos.

Here's how you do it legally and ethically. You can add virtually every public video on YT to a play list. Create your own videos introducing, describing and filling in details about the videos and add them to the playlists. Add links to your own site that have affiliate links on your own videos using clickable annotations and YT's new "cards" feature.

YT playlists can, and do, rank in the search results and appear as "related videos" on video view pages.

If you go through YouTube and it's own CC system you will not have a problem because otherwise they could be sued. It automatically gives original author credit. Just my point of view anyways.
