How Do You Make Money from a Personal Blog?

I have a big SEO/PPC project website in development that I think will be a big money maker. But I also want to begin a personal blog. I've already written a few articles.

It's going to be pretty rediculous. Full of debauchery, posts on travel, drunken adventures, fitness, and nightlife. It will mostly focus on lay reports (aka stories of me getting ass and how I worked for it) and my pickup advice, etc. for those who are involved in any pickup community, you may understand what I'm talking about. It will be something similar to alex attitude's blog on RSD, but definitely more personalized to myself. Imagine "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" meets blogging. Now you may have an idea of what I'm going to do.

My question is, with a blog such as this, what are the different ways in which i can make money off of it?

I'm a total noob at blogging. Thanks in advance for any responses!

    Adsense is the easy answer. Just create the blog on blogger(dot)com, and you are certain to get an adsense account up and running fast. I created some stupid blog about a zombie apocalypse to get my adsense account started, and it was approved in less than 2 days. Wanna see it?

    well...if your blog has PR, you can try to sell text links on the blog..easy money!

    Yes, text links and (depending on the theme) 125x125 banner ads are a good start.
    If it is a WP blog, there is even a plugin to automate the advertizing.

    One good way is to offer a newsletter that you recommend an affiliate product on. Or once you have a little traffic promote some of your upcoming products at the end of your post. That way everyone who reads it will see it.

      What is adsense? Is that when google places ads on your site and you get paid like 2 cents everytime someone clicks one?

      very good idea. any idea of a place where you could meet people who are trying to buy links though?

      yea very good idea. I was thinking the same thing. Sneak in text links towards my "money-maker" websites

    Are you modeling your site after Tucker Max's site? If you don't know who he is, check him out. His website is his first and last name (I can't post links yet).

    Not sure how he monetizes his site (other than all the publicity he gets which seems to have opened up a few doors for him).

      Good looks on the link. The stories on my site are going to be very similar to his. But my site is going to be a blog...

    Work on your own product while working on the blog. In the mean time you can promote affiliate programs. I dislike the PUA community but doing research for a similar niche I came across Nick Savoy from Love Systems and like some of his writings as he makes sense. They also have a bunch of small/cheap products pinpointing certain topics so may be worth a look if they have affiliate program.

    Another is dating websites such as Match which I think pays out near 50% commission. So a few nice internet dating tips posts with the link at the end and maybe a review. There's a ton of stuff you can tie into this.

    There's also some nice priced beer drinking stuff such as beer bongs, inflatable beer pong tables and the like. Just search for some w/ affiliate program and better yet buy yourself and write story about it. Adding Pics/Vids with these would be awesome.
