How to Make Money of My List of 8,000 People

Hello everyone. I have an email list of 8000 people who are mostly living in the UK and who suffer from hair loss. They are mostly men. I would like to now how I can monetize this list. I have no website at the moment or anything else but I am open to any ideas about how I can most benefit from the list. Thanks a lot!

Build a hair loss affiliate site (one page for now) and blast it. See how it converts and then move from there.

That would be a start but I would perhaps be a little more subtle and build a blog about personal care/image to build something of a relationship with this list you have. Write articles around affiliate products treating hair loss and include your link. If you cannot write the articles yourself use freelancers.

Alternatively research hair loss specialists in the UK and offer to email your list with an intro to their business, - for a fee of course. A solo ad in effect.

All this will be wholly dependent upon the responsiveness of your list which depends directly on how you built it. You may even need to initially send them to a squeeze page and get them to re opt in.

If this list is not yours as such, i.e. your former customers or opt ins then ANY email to them would be considered SPAM!

You need to go to clickbank and find the HOTTEST hair product and promote it.
Send valuable info to your list via autoresponder.
And sell the product only after you send out 4-5 emails of valuable info.
    Plan it out like this:
    - 4 free valuable info emails
    - 1 selling email

What is the average number of clicks/opens you get when you blast them an email? SO we can know first how responsive they are my friend

To be honest , for a non- mmo niche you should really shoot for above 30% !

Becoming more consistent in staying with contact with them will naturally cause that to increase

I agree with the blogging sentiment above; build a blog, show off your expertise, establish your authority and then, the selling will happen with increasingly less effort. Case in point; I have a smaller list because I started building it only a few months back but my open rates are well above 50% and my sales are steadily improving on the eBook front. Why? Folks know me and trust me through the free, helpful, in-depth content I publish to my blog so naturally, I'll be able to monetize effectively through my life.

Think of problems in this niche; 1 is painfully obvious lol.....but work off of the #1 issue to offer solutions and benefits, to help your subscribers.

One question: how'd you build the list? Are these folks who know you, like you and trust you? Or did you buy it? Or generate it through a capture page?

Thanks a lot. They were captured through a form at my friend's website.

    Check out Clickbank...

They've got a few hair loss products.

Let your email presell them (since you don't have a website) then direct them to the offer.

    Such short term answers.

You have a decent list; it's time to segment it.

Keep the big list. Keep them focused on the hair loss interest they came in for.

But ask, every so often, "Are you interested in THIS?"

THIS can be whatever else you want to offer.

You have enough people that there are going to be hundreds of people who are interested in hair loss AND whatever THIS is.

"If you are, click here! Because I'm going to be able to give you some very special information about it in the near future!"

And that click is the OK to get them onto a second (or third, or eighth) sub-list...this one for underground fight clubs or rude t-shirts or singing sea shanties or marketing to left-handed polar bears.

After a few months, you should have a good rundown of who likes what and how many, and out of which are the most popular and converting, focus on building that sub-list.

Then you'll have many sources of income, all from the initial trust source you built. Occasionally you can tap each one in turn and it'll pay you out some money.
