Advice for finding mentor

I run an online business. Sometimes I get stuck. In my country I do not have enough people experienced in online business that serves global client. I think if I get something who I can discuss with , get some suggestions, guide and tips , it will help me a lot.

Where should I search ? What should I consider ? How should I deal? Should it be more than one mentor to advise on different aspects of business.?

I will highly appreciate your help . Your help will be highly valuable for me.

Hey Ben, I think one important thing you missed out was...

    What kind of online business?

    Hi Ben,

Steve has hit the nail on the head. What I'd suggest is looking through WF at the threads that relate to your business or the intended project. You'll often notice that some of the people posting are also coaches. Read what they have to say and determine which ones are at the top of their game. I'd then suggest a friendly chat; not just to one, but a few of them. Coaching is a bit like dating: you have to like the other person (lol). It's usually very easy to see who are the experts here on WF. If they coach the right subject, then shoot them a message.

    All the best,

    Tom

    • Hi

Just to add to the valuable comments you have already had, one thing you might want to consider is to sign up for as many lists as you can. From the mails you then receive, choose the ones that you relate to most or the ones that you find most appealing. Having done this get in touch with the responsible marketer(s) to see if they either provide a formal coaching service, or would provide some bespoke coaching for you.

I hope this helps you in your search

This is an excellent idea. (One of the type that I wish I'd added myself.) I'd advise anyone looking for a coach to use it.

You should have more than one mentor. No one has to many good friends or good mentors so pick the company you keep carefully.

The one thing you need to realize is that not all mentors online are any good. Some teach theory that used to work 5-10 years ago and some do a really good job and really do teach what they do.

If you do find few mentors, just know one thing:

When you are new, it does take money to make money online.
