lifetime value of the customer that really counts.

Could those customers end up spending more that $2K with

BUT, I create very long autoresponder sequences and track what each subscriber is doing.

If they clicked on email X but didn't click on email Y.

If they made it to the sales page and watched 10 minutes into the VSL but didn't click on the "Buy Now" button.

If they did get to the order page but didn't finish putting in their CC info.

I could go on for days on how detailed you can get and then once you know what actions they have taken you can customize messages and increase conversions like crazy.

So yes I would create as many messages as you need to get the job done and hit your revenue goals.

Okay that makes sense and thanks guys! After I do an internal launch to my list my plan is to determine the best monthly price using split A/B testing and to set up my launch sequence so it is an evergreen launch.

Ray, in post #2, asked a very good question, which I think something you should really, really consider. To put it in other words, if you have multiple products to offer your prospects in the future, at increasingly higher prices, it could very well be worth, on the whole. Maybe you won't make much money out of that campaign at the beginning, but if you can sell them more products in the future, the initial loss could be recouped by future purchases.

Also, there are people making a lot of money just by selling $47 priced e-books. And it's just a one-time sale. Your membership site could bring in that amount of money each month if you can give them great content so they don't leave.

Find a marketer that has already done something similar to what you're wanting to do and buy some coaching from them. That's my 2 cents.

Sure, why not. IMO the idea is to try to build up hype and get people talking before launching the product. Just make sure the product lives up to the hype

One of my PLF Owners has a membership site that is $10-15 a month, and he regularly does launches (once or twice a year) that generates 500-1,000 members (with an excellent stick rate). He does the full launch cycle each time.

I'm not saying it's the only way to do it - but it works.

Hype is very important for a product launch. With just 2-3 good affiliates lined up beforehand, you can make big cash from your product launch. 13 days may seem long. But I've seen longer.
