Who here is making a living off IM

We all know that if you research enough about internet marketing that you will find so many people who just lie about their earnings.

But people on here seem very honest (well, most of them do!), so I think this is the place to ask. How many people here are actually making enough to live off IM? Like at least $1k a month?

And if so, how many months/years did it take you to reach this point?

It can take a lot of time for you to learn, then implement that knowledge to find out what works best for you. Then when you find something is working for you then take massive action to take it to the moon by doing that multiple times over and over again. Hope it will make sense to you.

I've been solely dependent on marketing for the last few years - Raising a family of 5 none the less.

By the way - $1,000 a month isn't enough to survive. That's equivalent to working at the local Burger King, and right at the poverty level. You need at least 3 times that just to be making 40k a year.

To answer your question about time span - I originally took a position with a marketing company, and was paid a base salary. I still consider that living off IM, because that's how the company made it's money(Diet Niche).

I learned all I could while I worked there. They were grossing 10 million+ a year in affiliate marketing, content sites and email marketing. When I knew that I had the experience and knowledge, I broke off on my own, and it was the best decision I've ever made.

It took me some time, honing various skills but I now get paid a £500/month retainer by a company to look after their WordPress websites. I also manage a couple of single client sites as well. Considering this is part time (I work a nine to five) I don't think that's bad at all.

There are certainly no push-button or magic-button solutions out there. It does take some hard graft and can often be very frustrating, especially for those who don't understand the dream (usually those closest to you!).

My two pennies worth? Keep at it but do not buy everything that is put in front of you as the next best thing!!!

I average over $200 per day with IM. Been doing it for over five years now. First got I was earning over $400 a day with adsense. Did that for a few months and made a lot of money! Then my adsense account got suspended and I lost everything for the following year and a half till I started to get proficient with affiliate marketing. Now its all I do although I do have a couple of products listed in the jvzoo marketplace and have had other affiliates make me some money.

I have been working outdoors my entire life and the Internet is the only place where I can get paid today for work I did yesterday! A very cool thing to do other things and check your accounts and see the money you have made.

I've been making a very nice full time income from IM and offline marketing since 2006. I've developed and honed multiple methods over the years which work beautifully. I like to rotate through them to keep things fun. I literally look forward to working each day...

      I'm happy to help!

First rule of Internet life. Never believe anyone's income claims. Next thing you know, they'll be showing you screenshots of their PayPal account. lol

          If anyone is making a living off $1,000/month . . .

Don't bother to tell us what you're doing in IM . . .

Please explain how you manage to live decently making $12,000/year.

$12K per year is not a living.

Regarding how long did it take someone to make $1K, 5K or 10K (or more per month) has no baring on how much you can make.

Alice and Tom could be making $5K per month all year long.

But what if you came along and did almost nothing? Does what does this info do for you?

Stop these comparison threads. They are useless.

Last time I had to get up with alarm clock was 10 years ago. I just turned 28 and never worked a "normal" job in my life. Yes it's possible. Now stop wasting time looking for shortcuts and get to work.

There is a difference between IM & MMO which a lot of people on here get mixed up

MMO = Make Money online = most of the sub forums on the WF discuss how to make money or game a system to make money online

IM Internet Marketing where anything can be promoted any business even brick and morter, like someone who is very passionate to write a blog on trees to a vendor who has a online store they all fall under IM banner.

Ok basically, you're wondering if its possible. The answer is yes, it's possible. Is it easy? Not at all. If you're coming from a "normal" conventional job to IM, sometimes it'll feel like you are working for nothing. In reality though, everything you do becomes part of the process, and at a certain point you'll see the bigger picture.

If I could send a message to myself 5 years ago, I would tell myself to stop wondering and just do something. Learn from free sources first; warrriorforum, youtube, blogs, etc. Then when you get specific to something you want to learn or do, don't hesitate to pay for courses or even coaching to further expand your knowledge in your area of interest.

Asking such questions will not help you out one bit! You said it yourself, so many lie about their income...
You're better off dedicating this time to learning about IM yourself, and see how long it takes YOU to get to $1,000 a month.

Besides, reading certain replies that sound too good to be true will only discourage you, what you need to know is that it is possible to make a good living online. How and when you get there is all up to you, do not compare yourself to anyone else.

I too wonder the same thing. I've heard stories of how some college students are making a killing while attending classes full-time.

For me, $1k a month would not be enough to live off IM.

I would be counting myself as one when I hit at least $5k a month.

This is the reason I am still experimenting and formulating winning formulas to making money online while still on my day time job.

I am personally looking forward to hitting it big and quit my job within this year and concentrate with IM. The question is if I will be able to clear all my previous bad debts this year in order to quit my job and focus in online marketing. I know this will take a lot of work.

Reaching financial freedom through online businesses differs for every one of us because we have different situations, objectives and targets in life.

If your goal is to hit $1k month, I believe you can hit your target faster than me hitting my own target.

Whatever our target is, I know it is achievable. So let's get to work.
