i need help starting over

A few years back, I was making a few hundred dollars per month doing reviews and using fiverr.com and buying link pyramids. I realize that probably doesn't work anymore.

I'm starting over and I know I want to focus on building a list this time but I need to know a few ways to get inexpensive traffic that actually work. I have a very limited budget, maybe $50 per month. What is working for you guys now?

$50 per month is enough to set up a website and generate revenue.

Listbuilding is always a good strategy, and is very sustainable long term. $50 is enough for a monthly subscription to an auto-responder service such as GetResponse/Aweber and to set up a squeeze page provided you do most of the website building and graphic design work yourself.

You say you were using Fiverr before, there's more customers on there just now than ever. Fiverr certainly still works. Consider running a gig on there to see how that goes or offer whatever service you had going on Fiverr and sell it elsewhere.

      Thanks for the advice.

When it comes to fiverr.com, I was using it as a consumer/customer. I wasn't selling gigs.

I would definiately go for solo ads, for me personally after trying ppc, ppv, fb, plenty of fish, adlfy, and few other paid traffic, i found solo ads to be the most converting, heck i even got instant sales, very powerful. The only downside is that it may require some researching to find solo ad suppliers who offer different niche that MMO/IM niche

There does not seem to be a clear difference between MMO, IM and List Building - are these pretty much all under the heading of the IM niche?

Internet marketing, or IM, is really just market and list building is a type of marketing strategy. MMO could be any way possible to,make money online.

According to me, you should do SEO, Relevant Forum posting, Relevant blog commenting, book marking, article submission, rss or some others work like these. You should do some Do-follow back link, which will increase your site Traffic & rage rank at a time. Carry on. Thanks

Blogging about whatever your passionate about

Create squeeze page and offer something of value to help people in exchange for name & email.

Blog everyday either using articles - video - pictures - audios

Social media whichever you like and promote your squeeze page or blog.

Pay for ads on whatever social media site you prefer and send to squeeze page

Start building a list and then send people from your list to your blog...

That is pretty much the formula that people are teaching and people are spending thousands on...

      So RECAP:

      1. Build A Blog
      2. Build A Squeeze Page
      3. Get deep in your social network
      4. Buy 50 bucks of ads to promote your squeeze
      5. Build a list and send people from list to blog using autoresponders.

I generate most of my traffic through signatures on WF to my free copywriting course, as well as free eBooks posted around the site. I also sell a free preview eBook on Fiverr to generate leads into my free ecourse and sales funnel. I do some Google AdWords too.

I can say though, from trying other things, nothing replaces quality content - you want content that the minute people see it, it's so far ahead of your competition it blows people away, and makes them want to buy up everything you're offering.

I think the best option for you would be to start a blog because you don't need too much money.

A blog can also be very profitable on the long term.

I would start a blog in a niche that I'm passionate about, I would write some quality content and promote it using free methods in the beginning.

Recommend some affiliate products inside your blog posts and once you make few sales, use that money to get more traffic. Repeat the process until you manage to collect some more money.

Since you are starting over, I will share what has worked for me:

Take a known, easy way to make money (affiliate marketing comes to mind but, there are many ways), build a business plan for it (including a budget), focus solely on that plan and only on that plan until you achieve the results that you seek.

BTW-The "results that you seek" will be identified in your business plan.

For biz plan examples and formats, you can find some good examples on www.sba.gov or google bplans.

        Hope this helps.

yes, you can try many traffic sources but you should focus on conversions and your niche, some traffic source convert better in some niche to others, solo ads its good but cheap solo ads are a complete waste of time, and with $50 you could probably need more to start. you can start launching wso with $20 and start building a buyer list or something. FB is good if you know what you are doing and the cost per click may vary as well, you could pay upto $1 if you are doing something wrong, good luck!

$50 isn't much. I would get a job and supplement part of that income to your internet business. This is the fastest way to "come up" (especially if you don't want to go back to school and sit for 2-4 years in a college classroom). There are tons of free/low-cost marketing strategies out there. I would focus on paid advertising first though.

I agree with a lot of the replies here. I think that the best way to start over is to Start A Blog. Even though this is a bit long term, a blog can be very profitable if you know your niche and you consistently provide them with valuable content on topics they may be struggling with. Embed videos in your blog and start building a good relationship with your target market.

It's not easy to start over, but if you do it the right way, you will get massive results

50$ per month are too little money for me...why do not try building a website and drive free traffic from YouTube?
or,you can always build your list from youtube either without using any paid traffic

Pay-per-click advertising still works wonders for me. In fact, I receive NO organic traffic from ANY of my landing pages every month. Fortunately, there's a little "trick" that allows me to recoup my PPC investments almost immediately: instead of having a traditional "Thank You" page when the lead subscribes, immediately send them to the affiliate's website. On average, 1%-2% of people will buy, which is typically enough to recoup your PPC investment. But with an opt-in rate of 40% or so, you'll have tons of people on your list to advertise to and make money from.

So , you don't use a giveaway product? Why do they subscribe then?

Here's how to boost your conversion rates from any pay per click campaign while also boosting your subscriber numbers

-The landing page does not sell your product or service. You instead offer a quality free resource -- a mini-course, eBook, tele-seminar, or other type of tutorial that is directly related to what you are ultimately selling.

        - By teaching people about the subject matter of your product or service, you are actually engaging in a highly effective form of selling, all while establishing a relationship.

-You should explicitly inform your prospects that in addition to the free resource you are offering, they will also be receiving your email newsletter / blog updates. Make sure you make this part of your offer as enticing as possible.

Call-to-Action This one is simple -- tell your consumer what you want them to do! Incorporate a sense of urgency or a specific sales process like: "Save on Flowers Today!" or "Limited Time Flower Sale." "redirect them to the sales page"

I'd say, with $50 a month, you could start a website and try to monetize it. My first choice would be affiliate marketing, but this is up to you if you're up for the challenge. So, first month, invest your money in a domain name and hosting and then you can try investing your money in PPC to get some targeted traffic your way.
