Can I still recover my blogs after I quit last year?

I have few wordpress blogs before that earns a little in amazon and adsense but due to some personal reason I quit by simply not paying my hosting. Is there a chance that I could still recover those blogs after a year past?

    Unlikely unless:

    1) You did some offline backups onto your own computer
    2) Your hosting company was doing regular backups and they VERY KINDLY agree to recover them for you, if they still have them.
    3) Your site got picked up on the Wayback Machine and you at least have the content from which to reconstruct your site
    4) Google by some miracle still has your site in its cache and so as per 3).

If you are going to kill off sites, or let them die, you've got to do a file and MYSQL backup to be sure of one day resurrecting them - I almost always do that, unless the site really is a total dud.

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Unfortunately I was not able to back up my files but I'll try to contact my host if they can help me. Thanks for the advice it helps

Yes. that is the best thing you can do. Look for their emails also they may have been contacting you for an arrangement.

I doubt any hosting company will provide your sites to you after a year of non-payment for hosting. They don't look for "arrangements" when you stop paying...they simply stop the service and your sites are down.

I doubt a host could give you the backups - if they have the ability it's likely you will first have to pay the outstanding hosting fees.

Every one has back up in his computer. If you have not the Back up file, you can contact with the help desk of your hosting company. But it is really tough to get your data. Very sad.

Never assume anything. I have a site up on a host 10 years after I stopped paying them. It was a pretty decent site (but not monetized).

I wouldn't even worry about it. Start a new blog, and sell products that offer you a good profit. Not small commissions you could receive from Adsense or Amazon affiliate program.

If your hosting provider won't provide you with the backups you can always scrape some of your content off of WayBackMachine.com.That's all I can think of as of this moment. To tell you the truth I would just buy a new domain and hosting and start all over again.

I don't think you can recover the files. If the domain names have been released, you can register them, setup your blogs and repost your old content. You should be able view your old content using the Wayback Machine.

P.S. Godaddy is having a special on hosting right now. For just $12 you can purchase a year's worth of shared hosting and get a free domain name on top of that.

    Probably not, but...

Don't you think the hosting company would be the best party to ask?

You have nothing to lose by asking your hosting provider, just don't expect a miracle...
You can always start fresh though, if you still have your old domains. At least you won't be starting from scratch.
