When a internet marketer is so dumb, they end up costing OTHERS business and money

Oh boy... I think I have seen a first today.

I am in the process of reviewing a product, and I was interested in using Google PPC advertising. So I search the product in google and the first hit is a page saying the product is a scam and users should avoid at all costs. At least that is what it says in the title. Once I clicked the link and read the article, it starts off by saying that everyone saying this product works is a liar getting paid a commission. The writer continues by saying they are the only ones who can be trusted to give a proper review of this product.

They then go onto describe how great the product is and why you should buy it.

I mean ffs... Turns out this person was an affiliate marketer all along playing some weird reverse psychology trick to get people to buy this product they just titled as a fraud. I cannot imagine this tactic works well to get people to give up their hard earned money.

Problem now is that because they are somehow the first google result (well I guess they can't be that dumb) when this product is searched, there is no point to pay for an ad which will advertise a product..and immediately below it there is a link saying the product is a fraud. It seems counter intuitive to me.

Anyway, have you guys come across something like this before?

  • Ranking well for a brand or a product is easy. Especially if you are that company. It might sound like a crazy idea to you, but to the right person that ad is marketed towards, it can be effective.

haha! I love how these guys try to build credibility by telling people "they are the people to trust" and then BOOM "BUY FROM ME"!

    I giggle to that!
