Promoting a Fiverr Gig

I currently have my hand in a lil bit of everything in IM and one of my revenue streams I feel isn't as optimized as it could be.

I have a Fiverr gig that is super valuable... It's in the health niche, I get about 2 - 4 sales a week. Everyone who buys is is super satisfied and I've even had some email me saying that my services should cost more... It also comes up in the top 5 under very popular health related keywords on Fiverr searches.

How can I get or direct more traffic to my fiverr gigs? Is there anotehr way to promote instead of just listing them on fiverr?

It seems like fiverr is a good way to sell a product or a service but your limited to $5. Yes, you can add ad-ons but who wants those. I feel like the fiverr marketplace is people looking for things cheap and they dont want to spend anymore than 5$. Overall, I just feel like you really can't make the 100k a year with fiverr, more like about 1k/yr.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

J

    Hey JT

    What's your gig about?

I'm pretty sure you could get lots of targeted traffic from instagram for it.

Just create an account on instagram in your niche. Add content to it and start following people in that niche.

Follow, comment, like.... Add new content... Follow, comment, like... Repeat repeat repeat

You could even automate the follow comment like part.

    Hope this helps,

You could start a niche based magazine, give it away and promote your gigs, even other ads, affiliate links etc. i have used this technique to go to the top of a green niche. We promote lots of things this way and generate leads, sales, get top minds to write for our magazine and used the traffic to even push Kindle books to the top of the ranks too.

As somebody who works with people who made thousands upon thousand of dollars off Fiverr, I really take exception to your idea that you can only make $1,000 per year per Fiverr.

The truth is Fiverr can make you quite a bit of money.

You just need to work the system properly.

It seems that you are selling a canned piece of content.

    Did I get that right?

It seems that you are not selling services.

If that is what you are going to be using Fiverr for, you are going to have a tough time because Fiverr primarily is geared towards services.

If you can come up with some sort of customization system where you use software, you might be able to make more sales.

Otherwise, if you are just going to be selling canned content or copies of software, then you are going to have a lot of competition.

There are a lot of people who are already doing that and while some are doing quite well, most are not.

I would suggest that if you do insist on selling content packages on Fiverr, invest in a video or post some links regarding case studies.

Regardless of what you do, add value to your Fiverr page.

I would say that people are becoming more used to purchasing gig extras. I know that some super sellers are basically just using the $5 basic gig charge to get the chance for them to do your work, and then the real money is in the extras. Such as video editing, they might charge the $5 for like 10 seconds of video, and then $10 for every additional minute. Or some even require that you buy multiple gigs.

So I wouldn't so quickly rule out using gig extras.

Exactly. Some successful graphic designers that I came across on there charge 5$ for lowest resolution files and 60$ or more for a high resolution version. I'm not really a Fiverr lover myself but I think you can learn money there if you have a strong tactic.

Why don't you start your own website instead of promoting it on Fiverr? I think starting out a website could be considered as you starting out your own business officially. You can see how you can start a website at How To Start A Website For Free - Create My Own Website For Free
