Bing for the landing page and FB for the affiliate site

If the debate is between sending your traffic to a landing page first before the affiliate offer, or just directly to the affiliate offer, I believe there's more value and more control (thus more success) in sending to a landing page first, as you are building a long term business.

Direct linking CAN work, but it is sometimes more difficult to sustain and control.

Why not just try both and see what works best for you?

Agreed! Asking for advice is good, but you should also try things yourself and see what is best in your particular case!

  • You need the right products, and upsells.

People struggle because they sell products that are too cheap, and leave no profit

      Hi,

You should test this of course, never take anyone's advice as gospel, not even mine he... he.

But, that being said; I think you'll find your best lasting success building the list 1st.

Be sure to give your list great value and only promote products that you have tested yourself.

To many marketers push the product of the day. If you want to be successful you have to stand out from the noise.

Give fantastic value, look out for their best interests, tell them the truth and they will become followers because you led.

Traffic -> landing page (squeeze page or blog with opt-in form) -> email marketing -> sales letter.

Makes more sense. Why? Because you can start developing a relationship and build some trust. It's one thing to come out of the blue with a pitch, and a completely other to recommend an offer after you demonstrated you're not just after their money.

But for that you need to invest time in good emails, meaning write emails with lots of useful content.

If you just send them straight to the sales page, you're just like all the other marketers, trying to get them to buy quickly and then discard them. At least that's the feeling they're getting.

I don't think buying traffic for affiliate sites is good idea.. I would suggest you to go on Facebook and do more engagement also.

Paid traffic is not good traffic, as in either it is usually just fake or it is general and usually un-targeted. What you should do is get in the social networks like the guy here I quoted said and start engaging people and businesses. You can really target by groups. Build networks with people you meet and talk with.

Almost nobody is going to join your tech email list without first being exposed to a significant amount of high quality content.

Got to agree with a lot of advise on here. especially Patrick.
Build list first then send to convert.
Provide value to list then throw in occasional offer, but only things you've tested yourself.
Why not do special videos showing you using the products you are promoting.

One big area as well is to try and build in a sales funnel.

That is don't just have one product you promote, have other products they can upgrade to on the back end.

    Thanks
