serious problem about leadpage

I'm sending my traffic to leadpage that

contain free report and after they click download the report

They will be directed to my review website..
(Some people like to send them to salespage)


The good news is i got a people who opted in but
The problem is i got a lot of unconfirmed
subscriber which is they
forgot to checking their email for
Comfirmation email...

I don't understand about this..

So how can i fix this problem ?

    Set up your opt-in form so that visitors are redirected to a page that tells them to go to their email and click the confirmation link in order to get the report.

    Set up your confirmation link to go to the download page.

    This way people won't be able to access the download/review page until after they confirm.

    I have never used this, but saw they have an function where after a user subscribes a box pops up waits for them to confirm before they can move forward. So they would have to confirm before they could download. http://www.optinlinks.com

    Another optin is to put the download link in the welcome email. Then they would have to confirm first also.

    Hey, Mike, What you have to do if you want to get rid of unconfirmed opt-ins is this...
    1.You must turn off the confirmed opt-in button on your Auto-responder service.
    2. Then you must go to your opt-in form, find where it where you enter your thank you URL,
    and change that URL to go directly to your sales page or website.
    3. When you do this you will have to reinsert you Opt-in form on your lead page with your new code.
    4.Also make sure you test this to make sure your subscribers get the free report or download your promised.
    5. So this way not only will you get the opt-in, but you may make sales up-front.
