Top Gun Internet Marketer fails to deliver

Hi folks,

I don't post much here but I just had to get this out of me....

Recently I received an email from a top gun internet marketer promising a live 4 week coaching program if I purchase a physical book through his affiliate link (offer valid till April 21st). I went ahead and paid for the book but still haven't received any update. I even contacted their support desk but no reply. In fact, folks are posting messages on his blog post advertising his offer who are in the same situation as me but they too aren't receiving any response.

I had very high respect for this internet marketer but now its gone down the drain. So, what to do next? I have purposely not included any names. If anyone here "knows who" I'm talking about and can help, please let me know.

Did you make your purchase through Paypal? if so you have up to one month to dispute the charge. Judging by your story I believe Paypal will side with you and offer you a full refund. I say this based upon years of personal experience with Payapal, on top of the seller not meeting his end of the bargain as per your story.

    Let me clarify....

Marketer A says he will provide 4 week coaching program if I purchase physical book of marketer B through A's affiliate link. So I buy B's book by credit card (which is also given free, you just pay a worldwide shipping fee) using the link given by marketer A. The book is not yet shipped, they will take 4 weeks to ship.

Meanwhile marketer B tries his best to upsell, cross-sell etc an unlimited number of products and services for which marketer A makes a cool affiliate commission. But now A chooses not to deliver the 4 week coaching program.

Problem is, I didn't want the book as much as the 4 week coaching by marketer A who claims that top marketers come to him for consultation, which also seems true. I will not disclose names in public forum as I don't want to give them publicity which they don't deserve. But I can send a PM to anyone who would like to check out the sales page I'm referring to.

I bought a lot of physical products before and based on my experience if you are outside U.S, (I'm from Philippines) It usually takes months before you receive the book.

The vendor do not have control or don't know about the tracking numbers of the books they sent outside U.S and most probably that's the reason why they are not replying to your emails. If their support is getting bombarded with a more urgent concerns most likely they will ignore that for the mean time.

You obviously did not get the OP.... It's not about the book...

    According to who?

The bookseller is not the problem, it's the affiliate who promised a bonus they are not honoring.

Unfortunately there is not much you can do but write it off to experience and try to be more careful in the future about who you trust.

Yup, I figure that out when I just pressed Submit button. Probably the post above me is not there when I was composing the message.

As for the bonus, I think there's not much we can do about it. Just think about it if they are really a top gun marketers, most likely there are thousands of people having that same concern from @ts.

If they are really a top marketer, I'm sure that they already understand how much damage it will bring to their internet marketing business and not worth risking their credibility on a $7 -$20 book if they don't deliver what they've promised so maybe you can just wait a little longer until they've sorted them out.

I'm not defending these marketers, just looking at the big picture.

When will we ever learn. Seriously, you don't need these internet marketing gurus with their big promises full of empty gestures. Just by the looks of the content on this forum alone you can get more value than a 997 course.

This is true! most of the things that your mentor will teach you is just support and confirmation on what we already know. Even those gurus are doing trial and errors to get things correctly.

The difference is, they know what their doing is right while new marketers are doubting themselves whether they are doing the right thing.

Like most things in life you typically "get what you pay"

In hindsight maybe you thought about how good the 4 weeks of live coaching will be if he is offering it for the price of a book, that he is promoting as an affiliate product.

Not sure how the book is, but I'd try and get something out of it and then write it off as a learning experience.

And get on to whatever you need to do to make things happen for yourself.

What to do next? Move on. Get a refund on the book if you don't want it.

You CAN'T "include names" here - it's a against the rules. How do you expect someone to help you with a purchase you made?

One lesson to learn - never buy any product based on the bonus rather than the product itself.

Doesn't sound like much of a 'top gun internet marketer' if he's ignoring your purchase!

This wouldn't be the first time an Internet marketer is happy to take people's money and not deliver. This is simply unprofessional.

In fact, I don't even consider such people to be Internet marketers, unless they deliver and have had a lot of success before teaching how to make money online.

Otherwise, it's just heavy self-branding and persuasion. It's funny how easy it is to position yourself as an expert through the use of a strong image.

Anyway, I hope the product comes through for you or that you are able to get a refund.

Just contact your credit card provider and ask for a refund....they will reverse the charges. Meanwhile, "top gun" marketer A still owes you the four weeks of training because you fulfilled your end of the obligation....so you're not losing anything by getting your money back.

If marketer A did not follow through on his promise though and he did not give a reason why, then maeketer A is garbage....absolute garbage. Selling things is his life-blood and nothing is more important than taking care of the people who support you. So if he's not done that for several days, add him to your spam list and stop following the guy.
