WOW The warrior forum has changed.

This is the first time back since it was sold to freelancer.

I submitted a banner last night, and I noticed something the old warriorforum wouldn't do, charge you before approval. I was charged $300, and then sent an email, your banner was not approved.
The banner you submitted was not approved. Animated. Income claims. Promoting Freelancer competitor.

Just these new way of doing things, are the reason I won't be back. The old warrior forum wouldn't care if I had a Flip.pa logo on my site. The new WF will delete this thread in fear that it'll start an uprising and people will leave. Like me.

    History repeats itself again and again.

    Back in the 70's pepsi was trying to beat coke and become number one.

    Therefore in the 80's they bought Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, Hot 'n Now, East Side Mario's, D'Angelo Sandwich Shops, Chevys Fresh Mex, California Pizza Kitchen, etc.

    Idea was to own all the restaurants and force people to drink pepsi.

    Sadly, for them it back fired, and they sold off their restaurants in the 90's, but what does that have to do with us?

    Most people see a steady drop in visitors to our forum every year. What we need to do is wake up.

    I can understand their reservations, though. I'd hate a bunch of animated banners (so distracting) and income claims are rarely given in the right way (FTC Disclosure guidelines). As far as the last issue. I know I wouldn't want to advertise a direct competitor on any of my own sites.

    So, did you get your payment refunded? Or was it credited for future space ad banners you'd want to buy?

    We 100% stand by the decision to reject your ad. It was entirely inappropriate on 3 different fronts. In future, please read the rules which are found in the notification box on the Submit Banner page for all to see.

    As for your "refund", you were never charged.

    After submitting a banner, we pre-authorized a payment in the event the banner was appropriate. As you did not adhere to the guidelines, you were not charged.

      I agree With Big Mike on this one.

      First, as stated above, you were never charged like you say you were charged.
      Second, read the rules!
      Third, you leaving or I leaving no one would give a damn and wouldn't even know we were gone.
      Fourth, the forum is a goldmine of information worth it's weight in gold, that part hasn't changed at all for sure.
      Fifth, like most people, it's always easier to blame someone else for our own mistakes. I always blame Big Mike!

    I was a very active member here before freelance bought this forum as well. I created a new account yesterday exactly for the reasons why you're ad was rejected. Things feel more organized now and the fact that people are being limited in boasting income claims just makes it even better.

    I just got back here after 8 or 9 years, had to make new account cuz cldnt remember my login or email i used back then. tbh, i like the new warrior forum. Still trying to get used to how things are vs back then but overall i like the improvements.
