If you was in a room with a internet millionaire that made millions of dollars selling information products.

What would you ask him?

I would ask him/her to mentor me.

The truth is I did work for an internet millionaire who made millions online being an affiliate for online casinos but it wasnt always bells and whistles. There were over a hundred staff members and the company had deep pockets. We would spend over $5000 just to test a campaign to see it was profitable. In the end, its hard to learn from an internet millionaire for that very reason.

I agree in part, but I know a couple of millionaire mentors that teach you how to reach the levels they reached... and give you the tools and strategies they used.

Really? They 'give' them to you or they sell them to you, along with the mentoring. Unless the mentoring is free, the tools aren't free.

Tough to make a million that way.

What a very spiritually profound question to ask a millionaire.

While some people would have a tough time with the logic of asking for spiritual guidance from a person who is very worldly, I see the WISDOM in your question.

A paraphrase of Herman Hesse (he wrote SIDDHARTA) quote comes to mind:

"You ask for wisdom. But the wisdom you seek is all around you. It is in life itself. Throw yourself in it. Go further. Go farther into life. Into sin itself."

There seems to be an artificial divide in the minds of many people between the SACRED and the PROFANE.

      The truth is simpler...

      Truth is everywhere.

      Everyone can access the truth.

And that is why asking a worldly millionaire makes sense.

He or she has a perspective on WHY that might be different from others.

I would ask them where they started from- what was their investment (financially, time, effort) when they originally began? How did they build up to where they are? Is there a way to gain success overnight- or is that just an idea people play on to sell their own schemes? How much work did they have to put in before they got to a point where they could comfortably work doing solely the job they do now?

          Doesn't matter the question.

When the Millionaire responds it would probably go over the heads of 99% of the people anyway.

          Example:

Broke person: Hey how do you exactly make all of your money online? Tell me exactly how to get rich..

Rich Person: The way to get rich is to work on your mindset and stop getting in the way of yourself and provide more value than your making in return...

Poor Person: Yeah Yeah I get that I know all about the mindset stuff and yeah I always give good value, but what is the real secret? What do you really do to make money? What traffic source do you use? What headlines do you like?

Rich Person: (Inside Mind)... WTF this guy is stupid... "Hey it's been good talking I have to go"

I just went through a system with Michael Cheney and he is an Internet Millionaire. It cost me a bundle but it was worth it.

            What did I learn?

All the missing pieces were filled in. What we perceive that works conceptually, can be slightly off. It is these changes and small nuances that help put the pieces together.

It's kind of like riding a bike, once you do it then it gets easier.

            Just my thoughts.

What I was saying is that if you were to ask a millionaire something it probably would be how did they make their money... Most cases

They would probably tell you a mental type answer, but most people are looking for the technical step-by-step answers and would completely miss the advice from the millionaire.

This happened to me some years back... I asked a millionaire a about an idea I had and he told me forget about the idea and focus all of your energy and attention on list building.

                  So guess what I did?

                  Continued with my idea...

                  Where did It lead me?

And no one can say if building a list would have been any more successful. Building a list is totally meaningless. It's the quality of the list and what you do with it that matters.

'Build a list' is the most overworked and useless phrase in IM. Every time I see it the top of my head blows off! :-)

If they loved what they do.

Many Warriors are hellbent on making money. As if money was the ultimate goal. FREEDOM, and happiness are my goals. Different strokes of course, but the way I see it, many people who make millions are bound like mad.

Example; a well known multi millionaire blogger emailed me once asking me how in the heck I did it. How I engineered this freeing, traveling, prospering lifestyle. Some guys with wads can't go anywhere. Or are bound to a desk for 15 hours a day, 6 or 7 days weekly. Not me. Gave that up a long time ago. Money responds to your feelings around money, meaning, if you chase it, you'll work like hell to make it, and if IT is millions, you'll spend hours upon hours trying, and binding yourself, to manifest millions.

However, it you set a goal, to be free - and we all want that, unless you're having some probs - you'll make money, probably, and a nice amount, and maybe even millions - but you won't bind yourself for hour after hour, taking a 1 week vacation each year, etc.

I know a few folks who run highly successful ventures and they're so busy, they can't take a week's worth of vacation. Amazing. Stressed as hell too. Meanwhile, I just crossed my 4 year anniv of circling the world, and I make a full time income, and live in places with a strong exchange rate for the USD, so my net worth jumps 5 to 10 times in some of these spots, like here in Bali, because USD is so strong versus the ruppiah.

I'd ask, if they are free. Honestly. Or if they're caught up in the binding, stressful rat race.

    Just my thoughts, from paradise

People want to become millionaires because they think once they make it they will be free and happy. So they spin their wheels chasing after a pot of gold instead of creating a life style.

Millionaires no longer buy that illusion. Like the old Zen saying goes...

"Before enlightenment you chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment you chop wood and carry water". Millionaires may be able to pay others to chop wood and carry water for them. They just have different problems to handle. The trick is enjoying the journey.

I would ask him... if you were on your deathbed reviewing your life, what are you most proud of accomplishing and what would you do differently if you could do it all over again.

I bet not one of them would say they wish they spent more time at the office working.

Are you serious? so in order to make millions of dollars online you have to rip people off?

      How cynical are you?

Comments like these are exactly why many sucessful people don't want to hang out here.

Absolutely not....but you don't have to sell informational products either to make millions.

        How cynical are you?
        Not cynical at all.

Comments like these are exactly why many successful people don't want to hang out here.
Really? So you're saying that we should worship anyone who makes money and kiss their butts, even if their products are based on free information easily found on the Internet?

What if a doctor made an info product on a new life saving procedure and he sold it to other doctors?
Doctors do this all the time...it's called a review journal and they don't sell it. They share it with other professionals for free for the betterment of human kind. That's the opposite of the type of informational product you're talking about.

Or what if a mom created a book on how to raise an autistic child?
That's not an "information product", that's called a book. People buy books all the time for many reasons, but you don't see squeeze pages and high pressure gimmicks built around them either.

In order to make a million dollars they would have to rip people off? C'mon man leave your negativity out of it.

No. you should never worship any man.. but if you want to kiss butts, that's your business.
If you read my 2nd post, you'd see clearly that I don't put millionaires on a pedestal.. and neither should anybody. At the end of the day, they are just normal people.

The OP simply asked what you would ask someone who made millions of dollars online selling info products. And again, you're bringing your own axe to grind into things by saying that all info products are based on free information that can easily be found online.

          seriously?

That's not an "information product", that's called a book. People buy books all the time for many reasons, but you don't see squeeze pages and high pressure gimmicks built around them either.
a book is an info product. That was my whole point. There is no difference.

An info product is a product with information.. and can be anything from dvd, ebook, kindle, or yes even physical media.

And the only difference between an ebook and a book is the paper that it's printed on.
          makes no difference.

And again, nobody has mentioned anything about 'high pressure gimicks' or sales tactics.
          You're jaded.

And if you think tthe only way to sell 'info products' is to use hype and dazzle like some of the wso's or what you see on JVZOO.. you need to get out more. It's WAY bigger than that.

You are negatively projecting into things. It's obvious. And if you're not making any money online.. your attitude is what's getting in your way. But you're obviously too blinded by negativity to see that.

Read the original post. The guy simply said he was going to interview someone who made alot of money from selling info products. You have absolutely NO idea what he is selling or what tactics he is using. So to assume that the person must be ripping people off or screwing people over is just plain ignorant.

Every single kindle book for sale on Amazon right now is an info product. Tons of those are by real doctors, real moms, and real people that have written things to genuinely help people and better lives. And many of those aren't using any hype or sleeze to sell.

and to answer your question, I would just ask him if he wants to grab a beer or a bite to eat.

I make 7 figures/yr and alot of my friends make more than me...

and I can tell you that if you're really worried about what to ask the guy.. don't be.
He's a normal person, just like you. It just so happens that he found something online that has worked pretty well for him, that's it.

If you approach him as a friend and show genuine interest in him and what he's passionate about (and not just what he can do for you), you'd be surprised at how eager most successful people are to help.

Most of us got to where we are at because of the kindness and generosity of other people over the years. So we're more than willing to help pay it forward or return the favor.

Just be cool, treat him with respect and like a real person.. and you'd be surprised at what that can do

    I will ask him:

    Mr X,

Based on your earning experience, which of the 3 do you think is best and profitable for newbies to start off with?

    1. Focus on 1 niche aka product and drive traffic through various methods as in free and paid ones,

    2. Focus on variety of profitable niches and drive traffic with just 1 method be it free or paid OR

    3. Focus on 1 niche and drive traffic with 1 method for 2-3 months and see how it goes on before either improvising the method or offer or change them?

I would probably ask how did the money change them and also, I'd ask what advice do they have on overcoming obstacles. We all have obstacles we stumble across and the majority of people give up. So, I'd like to know what is it that drive these people to not let anything get in their way.

      Slade556,
I would probably ask how did the money change them and also, I'd ask what advice do they have on overcoming obstacles. We all have obstacles we stumble across and the majority of people give up. So, I'd like to know what is it that drive these people to not let anything get in their way.
Hey man, I got a minute.. so I thought I'd answer your question and pay it forward.

how did the money change them
Honestly, it hasn't changed me at all.

The only difference is that I don't stress out about money as much as I used to.. I eat out at nice restuarants often.. I made my wife quit her job and be a stay at home mom, and if I want to pack up and travel some place cool, I can.

That's pretty much the only difference.

I know there are some guys that get full of themselves and let it get to their head.. but that's just stupid.

I've realized long ago that no matter who you are, how much money you have in your bank account, or how much you think you're 'the shit'...

You could lose EVERYTHING in an instant.

Pride comes before fall. So ALWAYS stay hungry. Always stay humble. and NEVER let it get to your head.

It feels great to acheve goals and make lots of money, but there never really comes a point where you feel like you 'made it'. There's always a next level to strive for. Whether that's your first sale, your first $100/day, your first $1,000/day, 6 figures, 7 figures, 8 figures or more.. or even just personal goals like having more free time to spend with your family etc..

no matter WHO you are.. there's always somebody out there who'se bigger, better, and making more money than you. So there's ALWAYS room to grow. So never stop learning, and never get complacent.

I'd ask what advice do they have on overcoming obstacles. We all have obstacles we stumble across and the majority of people give up. So, I'd like to know what is it that drive these people to not let anything get in their way.
That's a great question. I think the secret is to NEVER look at anything as an obstacle.

If you're in a car and you see sticks in the road.. what do you do? You plow through it - without hesitation. Because you aren't about to let some stupid sticks stand in the way of YOU and your goal.

It's the exact same thing here.

Most things that people consider obstacles are really nothing but a bunch of sticks.. but they let fear stop them from moving forward.

"But what if the road is closed?" No big deal. a car has 4 wheels right? take it off road

See the difference? The way I work is if I want something.. I'm getting it.. and ain't nobody standing in my way. There is no such thing as an obstacle for me.

I see fun challenges. I see new opportunities to try something new and exciting.

I don't see obstacles in the road. I see life as a video game - and the more stuff I run over.. the more bonus points I get.

I remember when I was really active in sports. I was spending 5 days a week, driving an hour to get to the mountain everyday.

Then my brother got drunk, stole my car, and wrecked it.

Most people would be crushed or devastated. Yes, it sucked. yes it made me upset..

But the next day, I was over it. By the next day, I was out by the side of the road hitch-hiking..

I saw it as a cool opportunity to meet new people. I hitch-hiked for the rest of the year. I met alot of new people, some were really cool.. others were just plain crazy.. but overall, it was a great experience and I don't regret any of it.

This I want to ask an internet millionaire, who wasn't successful from the first day. So a guy/girl that really had difficult times to survive and keep his dream going the first 2-3 years.

How did he keep the spirit alive, when it looked so bad.
When all people tell you that you are crazy, that you should stop, that it will never be successful, why did he go on?
How did he believe in the success, even when everybody stopped believing.

    Other question

How much did his family support him, I not mean financially, but mentally?

I could answer this, Not that i'm a millonare but i still made some decent money online.

My family did not support me at all, they said i was crazy, i was stupid...

It was really hard but that was actually what kept me going, i wanted to prove them wrong. That it was possible to make money online. And i made my first 1$ online after 2 years of frustration. But i made it and i proved them wrong.

The question that I would ask him at this point in my IM career, would be how did he structure his working life at the beginning => up until now. Such as how many hours he chose to delegate to working per day/per week on average before starting to make really good money. And also how much time in general does he work now, and also ask him to expand on that such as how much he delegates work to other people etc.

I would ask if he or she can kindly spare half an hour to answer my few questions before leaving the room.

If agreed, I would straight away start with my questions that covers an overview of that marketer's journey from early days to becoming a millionaire.

If not, I will try to get a promise for future half an hour for the same.

The end result will be that I will be having an information product which I may give away or sell for few bucks depending upon the outcome of an interview.
