Best way to work my way out of a full time job?

I personally find email marketing to be the easiest and least time consuming (although this varies from person to person). For this route, you would need:

1. Landing Page Theme
2. Domain + Hosting
3. Auto-Responder Service

This is stuff isn't really optional. If you have extra funds, you can purchase traffic to your landing page, either in the form of PPC campaigns or solo ads. To encourage opt ins, give away a free video course, audio course, or eBook (my favorite option).

I'll tell you how I did it, you can decide for yourself if its for you or not.

First, put that $500 a month into a saving account. In a year (hopfuly by thne you have something going, you'll have $6000 saved up that you can use for rainy days, or to invest some in your new online business after you have learned a thing or two and know what you are doing).

I started 7-8 years ago in the exact same position as you, except I had no $500 a month to invest. So, I started reading and learning. Pretty soon I realized the best way for me was to pick a niche, start a blog and build a list.

To me, most internet marketing methods pretty much come down to that.

Plus, it was a good choice for me since it wouldn't cost me but $100 a year or so to get a domain, hosting and get going.

I started the blog and I kept on going, researching and writing articles that were actually helpful to people.

I applied for Adsense, got approved and once I started receiving 400-500 UV a day, I put the Adsense code on the site.

Few months into it, I was making a little money. So, I used some of that money to set up my list building. Got Aweber for less than $20 a month and started building my list.

Long story short, within 2 years, I was making enough that I could easily quit my job.

But I didn't. Because I wasn't 100% feeling comfortable that I could sustain it.


And even though today I make waaaaay more than I could ever make with my day job, I still have my day job, mainly because I have depression and I need to get out of the house for a few hours a day at least. Plus I raised the company's guard dogs (they brought them in as puppies, and as an animal lover, I took it upon myself to give them the best life I could possibly give them), so I am too attached to them to leave them. But that's another story.

I guess what I am trying to say is that you don't necessarily need money to make money. You can get started with just a $100. Then as you earn money, invest some back into your business (autoreposnder, plugins, better paid themes, etc).


The simplified version of this is this (which I am sure you have heard 100's of times on this very forum):

• Research and pick a niche.
• Start a blog.
• Build your list.
• Create a product to giveaway to entice visitors to sign up for your list.
• Create a product to sell, or promote other people's stuff to your list, while giving them helpful freebies as well.

You need to build your list..be it any IM business. so utilise some of those 500 in using an autoresponder service. u need to hav a product to attract subscribers, if u do not want to write ur own ebook or somethin then utilise some of that 500 in gettin access to a Lead Magnet or find someone who will allow u to use his/her Lead Magnet for free. U need to hav a product to advertise to your list. Most people go with affiliate marketin as they do not need to create their own product and handle th formalities like payment processin, deliverin the product etc., so find some affiliate company which has a good reputation. i though personally prefer network marketin against affiliate marketin as that gives residual income too along with passive income.
In my money you can start with one-fifth of th amount you mentioned and build a nice passiv income in due time if you gain knowledge of IM and ready to put efforts. Wish you luck

I think you can join affiliate programs and learn how to start an internet marketing site. You do not need $500 dollars, you only need to pay a small subscription fee for their membership. I just started out and alike you, I have some additional money to spend on learning. I have no knowledge in IM before this and am terrible at all this website creation etc that is why I saw the need to join. But honestly, I think joining this sorta affiliate programs has been one of my better choices in life. I have learned so much in such little time. Another thing I think is more important is about spending time. I know you said that you have limited time, but spending even 30 mins learning is better than spending 15 minutes surfing on YouTube or FaceBook

Well, if you understand how this all works, you should be able to pick something that you think suits your needs the best! I'd go with building a list, but then again you might find doing something else is a better idea..

Lots been said about building a list. For good reason. Follow a proven system for best results. Some of your available investment funds would be useful for buying traffic once your system is set up. Don't forget that it's more about building a relationship with your list than just getting the emails. Building trust, following up and adding value leads to sales and happy customers/subscribers.

There are so many details and variables that will make the difference between success and failure. And unfortunately most of those details need to be learned thru your own trial and error.

Here is the overall picture...

First, you need to find your market. Then within that market, you need to find a problem and find them a solution (doesn't necessarily mean you need to create a product).

Then you need to find where these people who are desperate for your solution hang out and position yourself, and your solution, in front of them.

Offer a free (quality) product, and build a list. Nurture and grow that list. And then once you have built a relationship, sell them affiliate products (Quality products only), as well as your products (again, quality products only).

Again, there are so many details and metrics you need to get right.. but don't worry about those in the beginning. If you create a strong plan, stay focused, get some sort of support system, stay committed to your plan, keep learning from your mistakes, and don't give up, you should start to build some momentum and shortly after, sales.

And the most obvious one, JUST GET STARTED...

If I told you there was success (what ever that may look like for you) waiting for you at the end of a 100 mile walk? Don't think about it too much, just get your feet moving... one step in front of the other, and deciding you will not do like so many others, quit, whine, change your game plan every week when you feel weak and uncertain, and you will see results. That is guaranteed!

Lastly, there is no magic bullet to success. Work hard, learn from those who are where you want to be, then work smarter, then leverage your income to outsource all the tasks you are not great at, don't enjoy doing, or just doesn't make sense financially for you (the CEO of your company) to be doing.

Here are the skills I think every online marketer needs to learn or eventually hire a team with this skills.

You've got to get good at writing. As marketers, we constantly are writing blog posts, persuasive and relationship building emails, sales copy, articles, social media posts.

And the way to start getting good at it is, by writing everyday. Like anything, the more you do it, the better you will get.

Get good at building and leveraging relationships.

Learn and master a traffic source. (stick to one until you have mastered it)

Get good at building a good team. And get good at quickly letting go of someone who is not a perfect fit for your team!

Oh, and learn to TEST everything, Split testing can mean the difference between $.40 EPC's and $4 EPC's

More than half of all new internet marketers give up too quickly on an idea and get distracted and sucked in to something else (bright shiny object syndrome).

If you can commit to something until you see some success (and then change direction if you feel the need), that alone will put you so far ahead of many others.

Don't be ORDINARY - it only takes a little more effort to be EXTRAordinary!

There are to many ways to lose money in IM.
Start out the right way by getting a personal mentor/
Coach. This is not cheap but well worth the money.

What do you know about IM, in which branch you are good at or just familiar with? There are tons of ways to invest money, but if you don't have any knowledge about IM you shouldn't invest yet. You should read forums and then once you find a method that you like and it suits you best then start investing slowly. But consider reading about mobile marketing, it's a good thing to do these days. Find mobi manifesto v2 and read it, save a bit more money and start testing some niches.

I agree. Do some reading, there is a ton of great useful information on this site to be had. Continue to save and continue to read and learn about exactly what you want to do before spending anything. Best of luck.

I personally advice you to choose only that option which you can complete easily. Other factor is invest less and and earn more money. I wish you for happy earning.

Don't spend your money until find a niche specially a ever green niche. Always test the market first before spending hard earn money. If the niche is profitable than spend away

There are numerous threads on this forum about this specific topic, maybe do some research? I'm sure you'll find something suitable.

I think the key here is consistency, regardless of the time frame setup you choose.

With that being said, note down the various areas in point form that will need focus to succeed, then devote at least a minimal amount of time each day to each and every task. Don't skip a task in a day completely under any circumstances.

All the areas you touch on each day will surely add up over time and then as the cream rises to the top, you can begin to focus more heavily on the key tasks that require it.

Build a list BUT be sure to make some quick commissions on the front-end (small, immediate sales) that can make back as much of your $500 monthly as possible.

That way, you can buy cheap traffic and get subscribers even faster. Here's how:



I personally use a Viral List builder that has subscribers help build my list virally when people subscribe AND it makes me commissions too because people buy it for themselves to grow THEIR list.

Either way, always offer something cheap ($7-$20 ideally) right after a person signs up for your list, so that you get as much money back immediately. People are more open to buy at times right after signing up.

Then, promote other related products to your email list subscribers as you give high quality value. Give value by teaching great content you learn on YouTube or any cheap $7 ebook on JVZoo. (if your market is Internet Marketing)


Then, rinse and repeat as you should be getting some money back on immediate upsells that you can use to buy traffic again. It's much faster and easier to get traffic that way.

I work part time in an office where all sorts of random entrepreneurs work at, know as a co-working place.

One of the guys there was a former police officer that used to work 12 hour shifts. After his shift was done for the day he would spend 2-3 hours on is Iphone app/website design company. After many years of following this routine, he was able to quit his policing job after 12 years on the force and is now making more money overall than when he was moonlighting on the side.

Lesson learned - hard work and persistence pay off. Never quit or give up on your dreams. Allocate some time each and every day to where you ultimately want to go.

From IM perspective, you have a good working capital to see the results. Plus, you know some ways to make money online.

Start with a market and a niche in that market which is comfortable for you to work with. Invest 80% of your available time and 20% of your available money into building a list of subscribers in that niche. 100$ is still a good budget to start driving traffic to your list building campaigns.

Preferably, your first aim should be to break even. Let the invested 100$ come back to you so that you can keep reinvesting those into paid traffic sources.

Utilize the rest of the time and money to either scaling up your current business or to try and test out a new business model.
