I had optimized my articles on my website; for traffic flow and started seeing a flow of traffic to my site 2 days ago like about 29; so how on earth does it drop down to 1 visit yesterday??? I used low competitive keywords within my articles like about 1000+ visitors per month.

This is to my adsense ads on my site by the way.....

Welcome to the World of Internet Marketing

It can be up and down like that. But the moment you get down and out, then something really good can happen..
So keep pushing forward and do not let it frustrate you

    I would guess at over-optimization.

And I don't blame the angry-face emoticon. Unfortunately, gone are the days when optimizing sites in this way is safe and profitable in the long-term. A single update, or putting one foot out of line after the last update, and your business can go belly-up.

What I'd recommend is seeing whether or not I'm right about over-optimization. Take stock and perhaps start over. What you should also do is look into alternative traffic channels; free and paid.

Optimise some of your articles, but try to write naturally on the vast majority of your content. Whether on your own site or links you build to your site, you have to keep it subtle.

OP: don't overthink it. Work on principles instead.

None of us really know how Google works.

But we DO know what makes a successful site. Consider the sites you browse yourself. Think about the quality of their content that keeps you coming back. Think about how easy they make it to share their content. Do you follow them on Twitter or Facebook? Have you ever linked to their sites?

Maybe your site and content are fantastic. If they are, then go out to blogs, forums, social media and groups, and start engaging and linking back. The traffic will take care of itself in due course. I'm not sure if the truly engaging sites even need to worry much about SEO!

If you started seeing traffic to your web site two days ago, as you said, don't worry at all about slow days. It takes time and some traction to get going and there will be lulls and wanes. Keep track of traffic on a monthly basis instead of by days or weeks.

Provide valuable, unique articles and write for your human audience rather than the search engines. Your traffic will pick up and you will begin to have fewer and fewer "no traffic" days.

It's hardly time to get frustrated just yet . . . you're just barely getting started.

Adsense is an extremely poor way to monetize a low traffic site.

Stop and think about what you're doing.

You're trying to attract viewers to your web site with your great articles and as soon as they get there you're offering them ways to leave your site (by clicking on Adsense).

If you want to make money, get your own product and sell it to your niche prospects. You'll make a heck of a lot more money doing that than with a few Adsense ads.

Quit writing for Google and start writing for people
who are looking for the information you offer.

Do that and everything will work out fine.
