Inexpensive, easy to use squeeze page / landing page generator with hosting

Hi,

I was thinking of making an inexpensive, easy to use squeeze page / landing page generator with hosting.

Imagine, $5/mo for a single page site, you can use your custom domain of course. Then you choose what you want on your page and where you want it:

update headline
Insert a video,
Insert an image,
add text,
change background, font colors,
add email form,
create custom form
social buttons

And all pages will have built in analytics so you know where your visitors are coming from and which ones perform an action (email submit). You can opt to receive an email or txt notification whenever someone performs this specific action.

I know there is a lot of competition in this market, so I wanted to ask what you guys are using and if there's something missing that you'd be interested in.

I am not trying to compete with loads of features. I think there's a gap in the market for inexpensive and simple one page site builders that include hosting. To be clear, you would not have to know anything tech related to use this.

Competitors:
Pardot - starts at $1000/mo.
Hubspot - starts at $200/mo.
Unbounce - starts at $49/mo.
Instapage - starts at $29/mo.

I look forward to your thoughts!

  • Sounds like a good idea for someone just starting out.

Can I just check though, obviously with a squeeze page, there is usually going to be some sort of download (PDF or video etc), therefore would your offering provide the space to host the other elements of the sales funnel (eg download page) and the gift that a subscriber would download?

As always, something like this the devil is in the detail and I wish you all the best with your efforts.

Simplicity can sell. Especially for a very reasonable price and to a beginners Market.

I think it can be done

Hi there, this is a great question. I could definitely add an area to add a product download.

When you factor in hosting and domain name costs per month there wouldn't be much profit from a $5/mo return or am i missing something?

It's super important to invest in proper landing pages and if you aren't going to build them from scratch than I strongly advice services like LeadPages as it suggests templates that convert high and offers lots of other dynamic and interactive features plus tracking that make the total package well worth the money you spent on it.

I think it would be great, but $5 p/m sounds too cheap to me, and might imply poor quality or hidden extras people have to pay for to make things works properly.

This is an interesting thought. I don't want to force people to pay more money for things to work. Everything will work at the base price. There may be different price tiers for additional pages, traffic, contacts, etc.

For less than $25/mo you can have your own hosting, domain, unlimited pages, transfer, emails, an autoresponder, etc.

    It's so easy.

Yeah ok, but what about unlimited domains? You wouldn't want to host all of these Landing pages on the same generic domain. You would also need a decent amount of storage to allow for documents/videos etc
