Hi all, has anyone attempted to start a local business directory specifically selling local businesses?

If you have would you mind sharing your experience with this model?

I have noticed local businesses in my city pay good money to these types of niche directorys.....

    This is cool.

    I actually haven't ever looked into this, but it sounds very interesting. I own several geo-based directories but I use a different model. The niche directories provide links to relevant websites and information, and in exchange, local businesses can secure paid spots: ad space or entire sections or even skinning.
